Besides disney florist who else has gifts that canbe sent to resorts? I got one last time we went from disney florist and it was very nice but I just wanted to see what else might be available. I wasn't even going to have anything delivered this time because my son didn't seem all that impressed last time but while we were planning this trip He said I can't wait to see what we have deliverd this time. Go figure!

THANKS!!!!

Oh you have to try this....I am going to attempt to post the link...www.peggyssweetsandmore.com She posts here on the DIS and we got one of her baskets for our last trip! Filled with candy bars and a Mickey MGM Studios plush. It was awesome!! I can't tell you how many people came up to us in the lobby of our resort when I was holding it! I surprised my DH and DS with it! :goodvibes

I am making up my own "Disney Baskets" for my two boys when we go in October. I went to the Disney store and picked up hats, t-shirts, lollipops, small plush, autograph book and pen, Disney dollars and some other small items. I am planning on shipping them in two seperate boxes to our hotel a week before we leave with the return address of Mickey Mouse and friends. It will be a welcome package from them.
Hope this helps!!!

Does she deliver the baskets so they are in your room before you arrive to your hotel? Or are you picking them up at the front desk? How does this work? I just looked at the website, is that expensive or is it just me???

Uh, yeah, it seems a little expensive. The smallest one is $65 and there can't be more than $20-$30 of stuff in it.

I have never ordered from her, but I am assuming you pick it up at the front desk. Disney does not deliver items to a room before you've checked in, and I'm not sure Disney would deliver her baskets to a room post check in since they are not from the Disney florist.

They are very cute though.

We used her last year and the basket was delivered to our room while were at the parks.

Yes the prices are high but the baskets are very nicely done. I own a florist and I was VERY impressed with her work, afterall everyone that is in business is in business to make money. I was more than willing to pay the money because I do this sorta stuff ALL the time and it was nice to not have to do it and also be able to get ' excited ' about a delivery coming to ME for once instead of me delivering it to someone else. :goodvibes Plus I liked getting WDW merchandise that was not available at home.

But definately if you are not happy with the prices than do one yourself and ship it down.

Is there anywhere else that you can order baskets or even cookies?
I thought it would be nice if I could get some cookies (disney) delivered to our room in the evening. Would be a nice snack for my 4 year old.

We're staying at ASMO and they don't have anything like that.

I thought about doing something myself for every day we're there... but how would I put it on the bed or table without my son seeing me... will housekeeping do it for me if I ask them?

I would think you would have to do it yourself by ' sneaking ' back to the room ahead of your son.

We've used Peggy twice. I thought the price was great for the excellent quality that we got! These are SO well done and just really adorable. Plus, she's great about working with you to customize exactly what you want as far as content, theme, etc. They were delivered to our room (by a Disney employee) after we checked in. We will use her again next time, too!

GEM - lovely picture of your son.
On DS was 6 weeks premature- under 4 lbs.
He is now a tween - 5 foot 2 inches high, 120 pounds.
He wears a size small mens - grew out of 'boys' clothes.

Even premies grow up to be great kids.
God Bless your son :)

on the side- we bring down some of our own gifts - based on our resort's themes. We have done Lilo & Stich items for the Poly. We are doing Woody and his gal and Bambi (deer theme for woods) plushes for the WL in 2006.

We also order from the WDW florist - the family fruit bag, and 2 kid packs - the lunch bag snack ones look great. The WDW will swap in/out whatever you like. We omit the cheese from the family bag and ask for more fruit. We swap out the soda in the lunch bag for water.

We are staying this time for our 21st anniversary - so I'll order flowers to be delivered on our special day.

Do what ever fits your budget.

You can pre-buy items from the
www.giftsofalifetime.com web-site store.

My Kids are too old for surprises and too picky on what they want and wear -
so we just go to the resort gift shop when we arrive and they get their autograph books. They bring their own sharpie marker. Then they go off to buy refillable mugs. The buying then stops.
They already have t-shirts, hats, bracelets, layards, pins, shorts, plushes, etc...

What I did pre-buy from www.ticketmania.com was Disney Quest Tickets.
For teens and tweens - DQ is better than any gift basket I could come up with. :rotfl:

We got a package from Peggy in April. It was great! She totally customized it for us! I highly recommend her!

Anyone else? Her site says she's not doing it anymore.

I am doing the same thing!

I know this was posted awhile ago, but I just went onto Peggy's website and it says that she's taken a teaching position and won't be doing the baskets for awhile.

Sorry gang.

I am going in December and was planning on going to laughingplacestore.com and ordering a pressed penny album, the Epcot passport, a coloring book and a name badge and have it first shipped to me, add it to a basket with a Disney sweatshirt that I saw at the Disney store, a Mickey plushie and, if I can ever find one, a Mickey watch and then have it sent to our resort for my son. Of course, our trip is his Christmas present but I thought it would be fun for him to get that on our first night there.
