for my 12 and 9 yr old nephews. Last year we got them a board game from "Cars". They really liked that. We are flying home so space will be an issue. I had thought of shirts or Mickey hats with their names(or nephew) stitched on the back. I just don't know. I don't want the gifts to be cheesy or anything. I asked them what they wanted and they said that we don't have to bring them back anything(like that would ever happen :rotfl: ), but you could tell that they are happy that we want to bring them something.
The girls are so much easier to buy for. They like princess stuff and are happy. Last year they each got a ring with Minnie on it and we found necklaces that say "Best Friends Forever".

So any suggestions would be appreciated!

If your nephews like Cars, they have characters from the movie that are sort of like hot wheels. Not sure if that would be too young for the 12 year old though. I like the t-shirt idea and I would think that most kids would like that but i know some boys might not be thrilled with clothes so i guess it depends if they like that sort of thing or not. Maybe those light-up spinny things. Those are always fun. I think once you get there you might find some interesting things. The World of Disney store in DTD is nice because it's a huge store so you don't have to go looking in a million little stores trying to find stuff, although obviously they don't have everything there. HTH.

What about something Star Warsy? That's really popular now. They have toy sets and even ones w/ Muppets. Small lightsabers are easy to pack.
There's one toy that I think is cool and it's like the Astro Blasters toy gun, but for TSMM. You can change the light (unlike the Astro Blasters one) so that you're shooting rings, darts, etc. and you pull the string like on the ride. It's not that big and should be easy to bring back home.

At 9 & 12, I'd avoid the typical character kind of things. I'd imagine they're pretty old for that. Except my DS likes villians, so anything villains is okay.
A pin and lanyard to start a pin collection might be a good idea. They have some pretty cool ones out there with pirates and star wars that the older boys seem to like.
The "big thing" for my boys this year was the build your own light sabres. In fact, we went for my DS's b-day this year for the sole purpose of getting the light sabre.

Another big hit for my boys are behind the scenes books about the workings of Disney.

I second the Star Wars suggestion. I have a 12 yr old DS and he loves star wars. He likes the shirts, light sabres and the keychain light sabres. Those are really fun - and little! They don't take up much space and light up better than the big ones!

Shoot - even my 20 yr old DS loves star wars. You could also consider something from the lego store. My oldest DS got some cool lego star wars keychains there. So if they carry their own keys, that could be cool. And did I mention - they're little!

I think that all of the PP suggestions are great.

I just wanted to throw out there that I wouldn't buy them Mickey Ears with their names stitched on the back, I know in our family/circle of friends it's traditional to get the Mickey Ears with the name on your first trip. I don't know if your nephews will ever go to DL but I wouldn't want to take that experience away from them.

At that age, my always liked candy or food. (Okay he still likes it at 17 ;) ) How about those giant lollipops?

Thanks guys. These are really good. I knew I could count on you for ideas!:thumbsup2

Somebody else mentioned it, but I immediately thought of those cool-looking keychain light sabres.

(except when they start dueling in the back seat of the car all the time, their parents might not thank you.)

I know my nephews and that is what would happen:rotfl: I will have to think about that one:scared1:

Mine duel around the house all the time. I guess it is what Mom can handle and not the boys!! :thumbsup2 I always prefer to get nieces and nephews the noisiest or most obnoxious toy I can find, just to torment their parents! :furious:

Oh, I would believe me. But now that I have a child, no. My sis-in-law has no problems getting revenge gifts or throwing out toys that drive her nuts. (Her dad gave the kids a whistle one time. Yeah, that went over really well:scared1: ) I would like to give them something that they will at least be able to keep.
I e-mailed her a list of possible gifts to get an idea of what would be parent approved. I will see what she has to say:scared:
