I got my mom and little sister tickets to go see the Rockette's Christmas Spectacular show afew days after Christmas. Well, I don't want to just put the ticket in an envelope and say "merry Christmas" . So, I'm trying to think of creative ways to give it. I thought about doing little hint presents. Like a rock in one, mini christmas tree. But, that's about the best I can come up with. Anyone have suggestions?

How about putting the tickets in a nice box and then putting that box in a bigger box and so on so your mum ends up with a huuuuuuge box to open which has loads of boxes inside leading down to the present?

You could put a pair of Leggs panty hose in the box if they still make those. That might sound strange but I think it would be cute.

ah, yes! That's good!
Got any more???

put the tickets in an envelope, then the envelope in a bubble wrap manila envelope. Seal with electric tape. Then put that in a box. seal tightly. then that box inside another box. seal tightly. then put that (if you can find it) in a great big box. Fill empty spaces with those styrofoam peanuts. Then seal that box. wrap. But I've always wanted to do that. ;)

I like the plant idea for gift cards or tickets. Using the plastic card holder for your tickets.

What about doing mini gifts leading up to the tickets?? a ballerina ornament, a soldier nut cracker, a teddy bear, etc..

we saw the show in the 9th and it was AWESOME !!!

I put DD's Beauty and the Beast tickets (local production) in a DVD case. I picked up the card/mailer at the box office when I bought the tickets and was able to trim the BATB panel to fit inside the cover. I carefully taped the tickets inside and burned a CD with songs from Disney's animated BATB and Broadway's version.

My dad gave me concert tickets for my birthday one year when I was (much) younger. He wrapped them in the most horrendously ugly sweater I have ever seen - we have photos of the occasion, and the look on my face when I unwrap the sweater is priceless... Of course, once I picked it up and the tickets fell out...WHOA!! :rotfl2:

I bought my stepmom tickets to a Christmas thing one year-it was a huge light display, dinner and a play and some other stuff. I wrote a poem describing what the night would be like and sent it to her. I am by no means a poet, but was able to come up with something cute.

She really loved the poem - she still has it. Maybe something like this would work for you. Good luck.

i usually put gift cards (or money or tickets) in other items...like a small bath and body works gift set, or a picture frame from pottery barn, tucked into a new book, or wrapped up in a winter hat.

always more fun to get a little "something" with the piece of paper.
