Gift ideas needed for 7yo boy

As a mom I am embarassed to ask for help on this!I have 2 boys, ages 5 and 6. My 6yo turns 7 5 days before Xmas. His little brother made his Xmas list (cut the picts out and glues them to paper!) and of course I have tons of ideas to tell family and Santa of what to get him.

My almost 7yo, not so much. He is growing out of a lot of stuff his younger brother is into (playmobile). Both boys will be getting Nitendo DS for Xmas from Santa, so I have some family getting games (making sure it is family we will see after Santa comes!).

But my older son has his b-day and Xmas all in the same week and people keep asking what they can get him and really I am out of ideas. I don't want him getting junk for the sake of getting something. The only thing he REALLY wants is a Bakugan Collosus, which I picked up last week at Target for $21!!!! (org 40!) He loves POTC, Star WArs and Indiana Jones (We have al lthe wii games as well as SW figures and the mellenium falcon).


Anyone have any suggestions? He is reading chapter books (like Captian Underpants, Magic tree house) so I did tell some aunts to get those. His brother is more into Legos than he is, he plays with them ,but they are not his favorite things.

OMG, my 6-year old son turns 7 six days before Christmas and I have no clue what to get him either!!!! He is so hard to shop for. He is my movie & video game kid, but I feel like I can't just get him games & movies all the time!! My other two boys are easy compared to him because they like a variety of things, but my youngest is difficult!!!

I've got almost all of his Christmas gifts, I need to think of 1 more thing to get him for that, and 1 more for his bday. We are getting him a new bike for his bday, so that was a bit of a life saver with that. But I seriously don't have any other ideas for him. He also likes Star Wars, and he did suggest this one lego ship. But the problem is he doesn't build them, his brothers do, but he will play with it. Help!!

My mom got my son this Lego Darth Vadar clock for Christmas....I tried to let her let me get it for him just because he is so difficult to shop for. But I just wanted to pop back in and maybe suggest that to you since you said he likes SW. It is cute, great for his bedroom. It can either sit or stand. It was at KMart for $20.

How about a Nerf gun? There are several different models in different price ranges. They've been all the rage for my DS and his friends for a few years now. These things can do some awesome shooting. The boys love them!

I looked at Christmas pictures from when DS was 7 and everything was Star Wars related! He got one of those real light sabers, lots of ships, action figures and Star Wars lego sets. It was also when he got his Nintendo DS. He was so happy that he cried! One Star Wars thing that he got maybe for his birthday is the book "Star Wars Pop-up guide to the Galaxy." This book is full of amazing pop-ups, including a light saber that lights up.

My son is 7 and this year he wants a Nerf Gun (can never have too many of those ), a Razor scooter, a yellow dump truck (which he has asked for every year - finally got him the Tonka big one), Paper Jamz, and a helicopter (those Air Hogs ones).

He loves those Bakugan and Legos. He also wants Mickey fuzzy slippers! He is his mother's son! But I can't find any for his big feet...he is his mother's son!

my son is only 6, he is a video game and dvd kid as well. So we are getting him Epic Mickey for sure, I understand about the legos. We got him legos for his bday in Sept. His older brother put them together then it just kid of sat there. He made a big list, but I really feel he wont even play with most of this stuff. Here is his list ...

I guess that doesnt give you much ideas..Take a trip to the toys store and have him make a list there. We are trying to get our son more actual toys this year. To get him a little bit away from the video games. He's already out of control with it. He asked me just yesterday if I can get him on to Xbox Live so he can play with the other kids....geez

My DS7 wants a nerf blaster, and I found a set of two laser beam blasters at RiteAid for $9.99 (reg. $19.99) so he and DS4 can both play. He's fascinated by trivia, so I got him a Guinness Book of World Records. His teacher recommended a board game called Settlers of Catan, because he's really into strategy games, too.

I feel your pain! I have 3 boys and way too many toys. My oldest just turned 7 this month and we go him a new bike. We are doing more sports related things for Christmas. Roller blades and pads, scooter, a couple wii games. He got a couple nerf guns for his birthday that he loves. We have done Hockey sticks and net in the past...GOOD LUCK!

my ds is 9 now, but for the past 3 years, nerf guns were his life! he had every single one every made. He only has a few favorite now, that he uses when friends come over.

This year he wants those Hex bugs, w/ the race track thing for them.
