Gift ideas for my uncle?

I drew my uncle in my extended family's secret santa. He's married, in his mid to late 50s with two grown sons. Any ideas of what might be good to get him?

What is your spending limit? Does he drink? Does he have any hobbies or interests you are aware of? If liquor or hobbies aren't a possibility, a gift card would probably be the best idea.
ETA - more thoughts. Do you have a special memory of him from your childhood? Maybe you could relate your gift to that.

No official spending limit, but I'm looking to spend $20-$25. He does drink, but my aunt was just diagnosed with epilepsy and I don't think can drink because of her meds (and she's not dealing well with the diagnosis just yet) so I don't know that I want to go that route. My mom usually gets him a gadget or tool, but I'm not sure what he has already.

Maybe I'll find a funny coffee mug or something and fill it with some homemade spiced nuts and a gift card to Home Depot.
