I'm not sure if this is the right place for this questions, but we are planning a trip in June. My husband says no birthday gifts for him since we are going, but I wanted to put together a few things he could open that might go along with our trip. His birthday is in a week. I was thinking a poncho, sunscreen,...what else?

You could make a reservation for a nice meal at WDW and give him a certificate for it. If you have a larger budget, you could look into the Richard Petty Driving Experience for him.

Does he wear caps? Even if he doesn't, he might need one for Disney. My husband is picky about his caps but he has a ton of nice, toned-down (or funny) Disney themed ones. Might be able to find one online???

What about a Disney gift card?

A Disney T-Shirt maybe. My DW picks up T-shirts on clearance from the Disney store online. If it's not too corny for your taste, you can always get a pair of shirts and match for a day at the park.

Well, I would love for my wife to give me the Richard Petty Driving experience as a gift. (Hope she is reading this….)
If you’re DH loves NASCAR or is any type of car guy, I am sure he would take this gift!

I, um, wouldn't give my husband sunscreen. No present is better than sunscreen. Just me...

You could try giving him a "King Ding Dong" tshirt, with the chocolate ding dong snack cake guy on it , like my kids gave my husband for his birthday.

You could make him a birthday t-shirt. If your poncho and sunscreen are meant to for a Disney Survival Basket you can add comfy sandles, reusable water bottle, the Hidden Mickeys Book, a lanyard and then create some coupons - 30-minutes of pool time; a mickey ice cream bar, one ride of his choice with no complaints from anyone else, etc. . . If you do the t-shirt you can always have the characters sign it too then when you get home create a shadowbox and put it in there along with the rest of your "memories" from trip.

Every summer, my DH can always use a new pair of sunglasses. He usually buys really cheap ones (You know, the ones that are broken by July). Maybe splurge on a nice pair for your DH?

As much as my DH loves Mickey and the Gang, I don't think he'd wear a tee-shirt with Mickey or Goofy, etc. on it. I'm actually in the process of making him/buying him shirts with things he doesn't mind advertising - bands he enjoys, sports teams, etc.

The week before our last WDW trip, I bought DH an iTunes gift card and he loaded up his iPod with some songs for the trip. After a day in the parks, DH likes to relax by listening to his music.

How about a nice but inexpensive watch so you can keep an eye out for the time ... ADR's, how long until Fantasmic! starts, etc.

Have a wonderful trip and Happy Birthday to your DH!! :)

I love the idea about the Hidden Mickeys book. I also love the idea of giftofalifetime.com. Thanks!

The hidden Mickey book is an awesome idea!

I might take that idea for an anniversary, if it is at MK!
