My DS14 is an electronics wiz, so that's ALL that's on his wish list. While I'm sure some of those wishes will be granted I want to get a little more creative. Please help. The only things I can think of is an entertainment shelf (for all of his electronics) and a watch. Any ideas would help. My budget is about $120. Gift ideas from 0-120$ would all be helpful. You may add electronic items too, maybe things I hadn't thought of. Thank you so much.

Mind now open for suggestions! :flower:

My kids like that little electronic 20Q game. Also, my DS14 likes the Wizardology and Egyptology books. Does he have a Moshi pillow yet? Those were the rage last year.

DS13 is also an electronics nut. The kids shows us how to program our cell phones, ways to get the DVR to work without skipping and how to download music to our iPods. I have to say that with his passion for techno stuff, I have a hard time finding a place to put it all. So, anything that has to do with storage is always good.

I also ordered retractable ear buds for his iPod (he complained about the long wire getting tangled when he's not using the unit).

For his computer stuff, I got him some storage units. Drawers for the CD/DVDs, boxes for all the USB-powered stuff that he isn't always using.

I got him a headset for his computer because he likes to do online gaming and the microphone he had just isn't cutting it.

I'm going to set up an iTunes account for him. You can set one up that allows a set dollar amount to be available to your kid each month for as little as $10/month. What's nice is that you can limit it to however many number of months that you want. So, if you want to give just 2 months of music, you cancel the allowance after 2 months. An alternative would be to buy him an iTunes gift card for a minimum of $15.

I bought a spindle of CD-R's for burning music. To be honest, for the most part he uses his iPod for portability but there are times when he wants to play the tunes over a stereo system and that's when the CDs come in handy. You can burn your iTunes to CD an unlimited number of times.

I got him a program for making CD labels and a supply of labels. It will make the CDs that he burns look a lot nicer than just using a Sharpie on them.

You could get him a subscription to any online game he might be playing or to XBox Live if he's into that.

I bought a disc repair kit for his scratched game CDs.

We already have a GameFly.com account but if you don't, you can give gift cards for them, too. It's a great way to try out a game before you decide to buy it and often you can buy the exact used game that they sent to you. Gift certificates can range from 1 to 6 months and they also have a 12-month certificate.

You can probably find a ton of things just by browsing your local Best Buy store. DS would live there if I let him.

We just bought DS14 a satellite radio. He sounds much like the boys ya'll have. It's one that you carry with you...like an iPod, only for satellite radio...obviously when I say "we" I am speaking of DH...I barely know how to post here!!! :badpc:

When I asked DH why he needed both an iPod and this thingie, he laughed and said..."did you quit listening to the radio when you bought your 45's" :rotfl2: WELL, the jokes on him...I bought 8 track tapes!!!! :rotfl:

I really like the idea of the CD label program...he is forever burning CD's for his friends, etc! I think that I will hi-jack your idea and use that!

Best Buy here I come! (again!)

Have you seen the neat electronic game floor chairs with built in speakers? I was considering one for my DS but he loves is bean bag chair.

I sent you a PM!

The satellite radio is a really cool thing! Or you could get him a tablet pc or something Thats really in but i dont know the costs!

Thanks so much for the ideas. I need more non-electronic suggestions please.

I bought him a pack of CD-R's a few weeks ago. He says they were way too nice, he had just wanted the pack with no holders just to keep in his CD wallet. :goodvibes Giggle. Usually I'm much more frugal than he is!!

I did get him a few name brand shirts and a watch the other day.

Stocking stuffer gift ideas would be great too.

Thanks again!

A watch is a great idea.

How about a gift card to a Book Store. Kids can really get into books that they pick out and have interests in.

Also, is there any sporting items that may interest him ~ skateboard, basketball, hockey net and stick.

A membership to a gym or a sesssion with a personal trainer.

It's kinda electronic but how about a Remote Control type car/hummer. It will get him outside and having fun.

Does he have a favorite magazine? I love giving subscriptions because it's a gift that lasts all year. Maybe you could get him a computer/tech magazine. You could put the first one in his stocking or just the card announcing his subscription will be coming. Also, Under Armour clothes and hats seem to be big around here. He might like that especially if he's at all interested in sports. Some of the things are small enough to squish in to a stocking. Good luck!

My DS 13 wants one of those speaker rocking chairs for Christmas. He also wants a small remote control car that he can take to a local mall and race against others. He doesn't know it but he's getting a trip to Disney! I don't think he'll mind the change in his list! Another thought for the OP is a team jersy or tickets to a game? This is a birthday tradition for DS and the night out together is priceless! :teeth:

My DS went BF shopping with me. If that's not a DARLING SON I don't know what is. My husband wouldn't even consider coming along to help. DS really was such a big help! Carrying, holding, opening doors, closing doors, waiting, etc, etc.!! Unfortunately he saw and picked some of his gifts. We both have mixed feelings about this , but oh well , he's not 2 anymore.

Had to return that watch. I got a second opinion on his broken (I was told)one. It just needed a new battery! I was going to just throw it away!

He has CD shelves and alot of the other things mentioned. I did get that 20Q game at Target for $6. Nice interesting looking gift. Can't wait to try it-I mean for him to try it.

So, I guess he has shirts, 2 game cube games, 20Q game, and I broke down and got him a video chair. I said I wasn't but I let him have it now because he was such a big help. I like the magazine sub. idea. He loves that video gaming one (forgot the name now). Any other stocking stuffer ideas? My brain is a little fried after BF shopping. Any more ideas would be great. Anyone else feel like they are ready to wave the white flag (clueless and exhausted)!!

Thanks so much! :disrocks:

thinkgeek.com has lots of cool stuff for guys who are into electronics and gaming, you might be able to find some stuff there. :flower:

Any other stocking stuffer ideas?

new wallet (with a little cash in it)
favorite candy
gift card(s) (for cell phone minutes, music downloads, trendy clothes)
multitool (like Leatherman)
comb
socks
school supplies (pencils, pens, etc.)

my 13 (almost 14 year old) loves the Foxtrot comic books, as does his 14 year old cousin.

DS also loves Jack Higgens books.

We also got him a new sleeping bag, as his old one was more of a "kiddie" bag.
