I know it sounds silly. But Dbf's mom has a Long Haired Chihuahua. I usually get gifts for my dogs. Ya know, those clear stockings with the rawhides and treats. But my dogs are 40, 60 and 85 pounds. I figured I would get a stocking for the Chihuahua, but I don't know what a Chihuahua really has the strength to eat. He's about 7-8 pounds.

I've made home made dog biscuits before. We had to break them in half for her to eat.

I have a chihuahua. She has quite a few outfits. Maybe something like that instead? Marshall's and TJ Maxx both carry dog outfits for about half of what Petco and Petsmart charge.

My MiL bought her an OSU cheerleader outfit--but got it XS. It's too small for her, she's skinny but long.

She also loves her squeaky toys. She has one of those loofah dogs and it's quite funny to watch her carry that around the house. Her favorite is a lemur that's tail has fallen off.

We got our dog (She's a mini dachshund) a new bed and we're getting here one of those triple sewn and no fluff toys. She has one of those and loves it and at the moment it's lost. It's the first toy I've gotten her that she didn't pull all the fluff out of as soon I gave it to her.

We also have a cat and she's getting a new bed and a toy as well.

I also have a recipe for dog biscuits and I'm going to make some for friends who have dogs and some for my own too.

My chihuahua loves the busy buddy bones. She will chew on that thing for hours. For christmas I normally get my furbabies new beds, new collars, and tons and tons of toys. I have a 6 foot stocking and it is over flowing:lmao: But this is the only time that I buy them their new toys.
Their my spoiled brats:lmao:

A giftcard to petsmart or petco or the local store that they go to would be great!

As you mentioned the dog already has a bed, what I did last year for my dogs is buy personalized disney fleece blankets with their names on the blanket. It is cute and make cleaning the dog sleeping area easier as you can wash the blanket 2 - 3 times a week to cut down on the dog smell (make sure you buy two blankets minimum) - not having to wash the whole bedding ensemble.

Does anyone know if theres a type of icing that a dog can eat (to decorate cookies)? I'm going to make Vanilla wafers in milkbone shapes (This dog LOVES vanilla wafers) and I was going to decorate them with an icing or whatever, but i'm not sure if a dog can have the same icing humans eat.

Do you belong to Sam's Club? I was just there today and they have a few different gift sets for dogs - some have treats but some are just toys. I plan on getting them for my pugs! :goodvibes

I do. I'll have to look. Bj's only has the large dog ones, and it's way too big for the dog i'm buying for. That's where we picked up the ones for my dogs.

I only let my dog eat all natural things - nothing processed or made in china. So depending on what her dog is use to - different treats could make her sick. My dog LOVES natural deer antlers. I get them from a USA comany over the internet and she goes nuts for them. She is about 11 pounds and could chew these things all day. good for the teeth, satisifies urge to chew and no calories really..Natural bone!

We have a 10-pound rat terrier and she adores those tiny rolled rawhide bones. I've seen them at Petco, Target and several other places. She is also pretty fond of cow hooves which we get at our friend's pet store but I assume Petco has them too. Neither of our dogs (we also have a 100-pound bull mastiff) is fond of plastic or fabric toys at all, so it's a bit of a challenge finding them things they can't eat up too quickly.

Our Chihuahuas LOVE Pupperoni dog treats. They sell them by the canister at Target and Petco. Maybe that and a fun new toy? Or pig's ears?
