Gift Idea Needed

In the next week or two we will be visiting my aunt, dads sister for probably the last time. She has terminal cancer. She cant eat any food, is very weak etc. I wanted to take her something but dont know what. We live in another state so I dont want to get something that someone needs to take back to the store like nightgown, slippers etc. The only thing I could come up with was a reading basket. She likes to read and I was thinking of getting lots of magazines and putting them together. I dont want to get anything that smells or is scented either, candle, lotion etc. because she is very nauseous also and I dont want anything like that to set her off. Dont want flowers either. Any ideas? We just also had her 80th b day party so she has lots of pictures of the family, us 5 I should say.

Maybe something to read of a religious nature, if that would not offend her...

My aunt was in the same place a few years back and I found at some "special" store, stones for various things such as peace, strength, etc. and gave those to her.

It may sound silly, but a soft blanketmay be nice also.... like a baby's blanket..flannel.... off the top of my head, that's it......

How about some books on tape as she gets weaker it will be hard to hold a book and to see she'll tire easily. also if you don't want to do the tapes then get her a BOOK HOLDER. Even if she has the strength to read it is very tiring for them to hold the book up. By the way the visit is the nicest thing you can give her !

What about a CD... either one that you've compiled yourself with various selections that you might feel will be relaxing to her... or have meaning to her. Along with a personal CD player, of course.
