We are planning on grabbing a bunch of gift cards from Target on the way down, but I'm wondering which snack locations don't accept them. Like if Pooh Corner doesn't that will impact how many I get, I need Tigger Tails!!! :lmao:

I don't know about Pooh Corner but most of the carts won't take them or APs. Most everything else will. I spent all year collecting them and that combined with the AP discount was a great bonus.

You can for sure purchase Tigger Tails, any place that accepts credit/debit cards will take a Disney GC *we love them!

Also ~ I've purchased Churros and possibly popcorn with a GC.

Okay awesome :thumbsup2

Got another quick question for you guys. If I go to Target and get a crappy credit limit on their red card credit card can I pay it off and then make another purchase imediately? I would like to get enough to pay off our hotel and get most of our food if possible.

No clue, here in the states you can get a Target Debit Card, it's tied to your checking account. To get it you bring in a blank check - *I still need to do that. It's has the same 5% off perk that the CC has but it's your money you're spending.

So, if you use your redcard, does Target give you 5% off all purchases - even non-Target gift cards?

Our Target doesn't have Disney gift cards year round, only around Christmas so you may want to check that yours does before you make a stop for them :(

When you open a Target Debit RedCard there is a limit to how much you can spend at a time in the beginning. It takes a bit to build up how much you can buy at a time. I'm not sure what the policy is for credit but I wouldn't bank on being able to pick up enough on the way up to pay off a hotel.

Maybe I was mistaken about the gift cards at the carts and it's only APs they don't take? I may have just opted for cash at those connecting the gift cards and APs in my head.

That is exactly what we did for our trip in June. I bought gift cards at Target in advance so that I would not have to carry very much cash in the park. We ran into very few carts that could not take them. All of the red churro, popcorn, and souvenir carts took them. If I remember correctly, it was only a couple of the carts that sold frozen lemonade and ice cream treats and one that only sold soda. All of the restaurants and shops took them, and definitely the candy shop in Critter Corner. You can get all the Tigger Tails you want!

Good to know! I have a $200 GC from my Disney Rewards Visa to use for our trip in August and I was curious to know which snack carts wouldn't accept them.

Thanks for the tip about the GCs! Now I need to go search and find out what a tigger tail is!!

If we can use DL gift cards at almost every food/restaurant place, do you just tip cash? I know it's a dumb question but I've read other threads that are saying not to tip in certain places and all the information is becoming one big pile of info in my head. Can the restaurants just remove the tip off the DL gift card and give that amount in cash to the staff at the end of the night?

Thanks for the excellent trip. I just purchased $300 worth of gift cards for $285! I love free money! Thank you!

Most of the restaurants just brought a receipt like when you use a credit or debit card and you can add the tip on there or not and just leave cash. I don't know if they will actually give you the cash to give the server or not. Some restaurants already include the tip in the price (I think Goofy's Kitchen did this.)

My deal to DH is that this trip will not put us in any debt so we will be doing it all cash but I was concerned because I don't want to have it all on debit card, and I certainly don't want all that cash...is there some protection with the GC's? Can you report them stolen and get them replaced?

Also, is the 5% off thing only the first time you use your Target Debit card?

Thanks,
Kerri
