Gift Cards in the Park

do you need to scratch off the back when you use the gift cards at Disney. I have only ever used them online.

Occasionally the cashier did enter the scratched off code when I made purchases this past week

I was just wondering if I should scratch them off ahead of time to save time. when I buy our AP I will be using 9 of them.

Probably a lot easier to use disneygiftcard.com to combine them into gift cards of up to $1000 each so you have fewer to carry/present.

I never had to scratch mine off.

You won't have to scratch it off unless the card doesn't swipe (magnetic strip is demagnetized)
