Gift cards for room charges

I have read so many different answers on this. Anyone actualy do this? Can you upon check in leave yr gift cards on file and a cc. Then just use yr magicband for room charges that will use gift cards first before hitting the CC? Or do I just put a cc on file and every other day go pay at the counter with my gift cards before they charge my cc

Put the CC on file and pay periodically with gift cards. I've seen a handful of reports GCs could be loaded prior to charging, but a bucket full saying they were told no.

We have been told no every trip, I see reports from people who have been able to so I keep trying. So we do what @aaarcher86 stated.

Put me on the list of, no they would not take GCs to hold on file. But I do sometimes wonder if they would take 1 GC with a large amount on it and not a bunch of $50 - $100 GCs? If I remember next time, I will ask

They wouldn't take a $500 GC.

I had to pay the room charges down every few days - they wouldn't allow the GCs to be front-loaded. It was always a very quick and easy process.
