Gift Cards At Disneyland

Hi there,

I am planning a trip with my boyfriend to Disneyland in October, and I would like to consider buying gift cards to help pay for meals, snacks and souvenirs while in the park. Is there a list of places that you can use them? Or better yet, a list of places you CAN'T use them? Can you use them at food carts, and for Character meals, etc.? Any information on this would be greatly appreciated!

Go to www.disneygiftcard.com. Lots of information there. I've used gift cards at CS locations to pay for food. I've also used it for merchandise at shops. My husband would like to use a gift card to make a $200 down payment on a future trip.

You can't use it at food carts. Most of those are cash only. Also, there are only a handful of places at DTD (only the Disney owned ones) that accept it.

Thank you! That site helps a lot! Just one question though. When they say they are not accepted at outside vendors, does that mean things like Churro and popcorn stands?

Alright, thank you! That helps a lot. I might just get enough to use for a couple meals, and that's about it, as I don't know where else I'll be wanting to buy things.

I've used GC's at both WDW and DL to buy almost everything including food. The snack stands that take CC's also take GC's. I'm told there are a few stands that only accept cash, but I don't know which ones. Never had a problem paying for anything with a GC.

You can use Disney Gift Cards most anywhere, heck I bought Churros *at a cart with a DGC last Dec. Most places no can take card (debit/credit) so they can take DGCs.
