Gift cards and Magic bands

I will be bringing some gift cards with us on our trip. Can we have them loaded onto our magic bands so I don't have to carry them around the park?

No. But you can use your MB for room charges and then pay the room charges off with the GCs.

I know there are different limits totals before they charge your card for the different level of resorts. Does anyone know what they are?

Also I thought I read somewhere that once you have a charge on your account you can have them put the cards on your account and have your balance go in the negative so you don't have to remember and put the gift cards on your account at the end of the day.

I think they are 500 Value/1000 Moderate/1500 deluxe

No, they won't do that either. You'll have to pay the charges down.

Deluxe, I believe, is also $2000 versus the $1500 previously posted.

They can go negative, but they aren't supposed to. They did it for me when there was only 16¢ left on my gift card after the charges.

The limits before charging your card changed recently. It's $2000 at deluxe resorts and $1500 everywhere else.

Last trip I had some GC's and planned to put the rest on my credit card. I charged everything to my MB. At the end of each night I went to the front desk with my gift cards and paid down the days charges. It was really easy. I stopped when the GC's were empty and the rest of the charges went though to the CC on file. This way I did not have to worry about running over limits.

They WILL do neg on your account if you ask - we would charge and pay it off in the AM beforeand i would just have them apply the whole GC balance to my account and they were happy to do it

Just a reminder to pay off your room charges with your gift cards the night before you check out. They charge credit cards on file in the wee hours of the morning. My room folio is always in my email before 6am on checkout day.
