Not sure if this is the best place to ask this...so please feel free to move if not..

Thanks to the wonderful economy we are not able to take our trip as planned this December. I have already purchased many Disney Gift cards. I would like to sell these as I could use the money for Christmas this year. Any recommendations on the best place to sell? I have looked on plasticjungle and another website that buys gift cards and they are only wanting to pay way less than the amount. Can these be sold on Ebay? Thanks in advance!

Yes you can sell them on Ebay. Most of the Disney gift cards on sell very well, from what I've seen.

And just a heads up, you may want to take out the dollar amounts of the gift cards so your post doesn't get interpreted as trying to sell them here which is against the rules. :thumbsup2

Be aware that Ebay's final value fees have gone up to 9%. By the time you pay the listing and final value fees plus what Paypal will hit you with since that is the only way to get paid for Ebay auctions now, you'll be up around 13-14% of your auction final price. You may want to try putting them on Craigslist first.

We are going in December and I use Ebay all the time, so I do pay via PayPal. You may not get face value, but you'd get more than you have now!

I have a question about buying gift cards from other people. Is there a way to verify the amount on the card before you buy?

...send me the number on the card she is interested in selling, and I can call the 800 number to verify that the card is loaded. If I pay via PayPal, I have the option to rescind payment if the card gets to me and there is a zero balance, or if things are not as they should be.

Buying from and individual does involve a great deal of trust, however it can be worth it! I got 3 MVMCP tickets for my upcoming trip at about $8 less than they would have been to order online or at the gate...$24 total savings!
