gift Card question

[Kimmumum]

We are going for the Food and Wine Festival. If I start purchasing gift cards now can I exchange them at the park for one on the wrist cord and combine them? Or am I stuck with multiple cards?

Anyone know?? Thanks!!

I am pretty sure you can't buy gift cards with gift cards but I think you can use your room key to buy the corded gift card then use your other gift card to pay off the balance at your resort...if that makes sense

I was going to suggest doing this exact same thing. In fact, we're heading to F&W next month, too. This is what I intend to do.

I tried to do this for F&W and F&G, but the CMs would not let me purchase the small gift card with my room key. I do intend to try it again this year at F&W.

the other option is to use a hole punch and a cheap bracelet or wrist cord keychain I have seen at Walmart:

I tried to do that last year and they wouldn't let me...Not sure about the whole room card and then pay off with gift card thing. Interested to know if that would work.

Tried to do that at flower and garden. You can not use a giftcard or your room card to buy other gift cards. Can use a credit card or cash.

Well, if that's the case, I'll just use my KTTW card for food purchases and pay off the room account balance with GCs. It makes it a little less convenient but certainly not impossible.

Sorry to be ignorant, but how do you pay off the room charge with GCs? We are always asked for a CC at check-in, otherwise there's no charging privileges on the keys.

You give them a CC (or debit card) at check in but before they apply the charges to your card, you go to the desk and pay with your GCs. Value Resorts will charge your card when you reach $500 in charges but Deluxe Resorts wait until you've hit $1500.

Some CMs will apply GCs to your account when you check in but not all of them are willing to do it.

I tried to add gift cards to my account at check in in July. I was told by two different people there has to be charges already on the account before they can apply the gift cards. My account was paid in full with gift cards before leaving home. I went to guest services the night before check out and had them apply my gift cards to my account to pay my balance. It was a bit of a hassle but paying my account with gift cards I bought at a discount was worth it! I love saving money!

I plan on using GCs to pay my room balance as well. I buy them at Giant Eagle in Ohio to earn free gas. After I pay off my package and get "spending money" I will have earned 60 gallons- over $200- in free gas.
