I'll be buying a few gift cards this season (more like 11 of them) and want a different way to present them instead of just throwing them into a card. I have seen the Santa gift card envelope that someone had made and it's really cute (actually made that last year for a couple people) But I'm looking for something else. A tiny gift bag?
What are your ideas? How else would you present a gift card to somene aside from just in a card?

Wal-Mart has actual little colorful TINS that you can put the gift card into!!!(It does say Wal-Mart on it at all, can be used for any gc from any store).

Staples has them as well!!

Wal-Mart also has with THEIR gift cards, the matching Xmas Card and envelope that matches the actual Wal-Mart card if you buy a gc from Wally's!
I bought 3 of them, they are lovely.

Last year I got some cute little GC sized bags at the Dollar Section of Target. I've also seen GC holders at CVS, and the Home Depot has some thing light up and play music. Victoria's Secret also has cute boxes.

Walmart has these really cool metal boxes that are the size of a credit card. You slide them open and put the card inside. Unfortunately the only ones available at all 3 walmarts that I've checked so far have Elvis on the front. Who knew Elvis was still popular, lol! I know they come in other designs because one of the Walmarts had a silver one with a wreath on it but it was all bent up. They're only 48 cents so I'd love to find some minus Elvis! I did buy (for $3.97) a velvety "bag" for a gift card that says "shop 'til you drop" on it and they had others that were red and green and Christmasy. These were on the gift card rack at Walmart.

Last year I gave a friend a small gift basket... It had a Gift Card to Block Buster Video.. I added a bag of microwaved popcorn, 2 sodas, a box of candy.. and a Note... Enjoy the Movies right from your own living room.. She loved it...

Another Wal Mart suggestion....I was just at ours this morning and they had these pretty material like bags decorated with ribbon and tear drop beads hanging from them that would be a perfect size to tuck one into for the girls. They kind of look like a little pouch that a pirate would tuck gold coins into but much pretttier!

Bath and Body Works has a cute little box with sequins on it and a super soft bear inside. Their website only has pink here , but the store I was in had a few colors to choose from.

If it is for a music store you could put it in an empty cd case. I often wrap the GC with a movie theatre size box of candy- goes over well with kids!

When we do Blockbuster GC's we always buy their bucket of microwave popcorn and use that as our basket to hold the other goodies. It also works well if we do a GC for the movie theater.

Last year, I bought a bunch of chinese take out containers from a scrapbook store for the giftcard presentation. The outsides got decorated with a snowman face, and the insides got tissue paper shreds, along with chopsticks and fortune cookies. These were adorable, and the recipients really liked them. This year, Michaels Craft stores is selling holiday-style chinese take out containers.

This year, for the girls that we got GC's for, I found some cute red Chinese-patterned purses at the dollar spot in target, while they were 50% off, so instead of $2.50, they were $1.25. Actually, these purses would make a cute make-up bag, or something like that for my nieces.

For my nephew who is getting a Home Depot GC this year, we bought a 1qt. empty paint can from Menards, and modge-podged on a bunch of red and green paint chips on it. We also bought him a paint can opener, since I doubt he'll have one handy when we get together at Christmas.

Back to the Chinese take outs - I thought I had taken close-ups,but those weren't in the same place as this image was. Maybe I didn't take the close-ups. Hopefully you can at least see the idea though.

Here is a fun way to present the gift; you have to make the recipient work a little bit! It's a plastic cube with a hollow center where you put the money, gift, etc. but they have to navigate a tiny ball through a plastic maze in order to unlock it.

I got one for my sister and put cash in it, you may have to doublecheck to see if a gift card would fit. It's reusuable too.

what I've done is gotten a small box like maybe for gloves and put the GC plus some Christmas wrapped candy like my "kids" (there both married so there not little kids) still like butterfinger and then I wrap it just like any other christmas gift.

this way when the candy adds weight and also shakes so it doesnt look like a gc.

OH thanks guys. Great ideas.

I'm heading to Walmart later this morning, so I think I might check out those little tin boxes. Atleast these people will be able to "open" something, know what I mean?

Any other ideas? I am doing a couple of those popcorn buckets and putting some gift cards in there too.

This might not be what you're aiming for, but it is hilarious!! Last year, we got my aunt a GC. Our family has a history of messing with each other at Christmas, so.....
We got a medium sized square box (a cardboard shipping box- about 7 or 8 in square cube thing.) We taped her gift card to the inside of the box along one of the sides. We didn't put anything else in there. So, when she got her present, she looked inside and her initial reaction was, "HEY!" :lmao: She finally saw the gift card and then laughed about it with everybody else. :rotfl:

We have also wrapped presents and put people's names on them and then wrapped those presents in bigger boxes with other people's names on them and then wrapped those boxes.....well....you get it. :teeth:

The Starbucks gift card I just got came in a flocked envelope -- very pretty as far as envelopes go! I have put gift cards in those miniature furry red stockings -- and then put the stocking in a gift bag. Then it is something to open.

The local drugstore here has small boxes for gift cards. They are just metallic sparkly gold boxes -- no design, no insignia. They were $2.99 each.

I bought some Tiny Christmas Stockings at the dollar store (2/$1) and I'm going to put them in those!
