Gift Card Granny discounted Disney GC

Has anyone used Gift Card Granny to get discounted Disney gift cards?

I always price out what I think food will cost during our vacation and buy Disney gift cards for roughly that amount so our food is 'paid for' prior to arriving.

One of the Disney gift cards on this site is almost exactly the amount I need ($315) and they are offering it for $293 with free shipping. It's an 8% saving which isn't much but every little bit helps.

The main page indicates these are ONLY good for the Disney STORE, not at the parks.

If you have a Target Red Card, you can get 5% off of Disney gift cards.

I'm just curious how these gift cards can be any different than any other disney gift card. I know you can use disney gift cards to pay for your trip. I'm tempted to buy a cheap one and try paying on my account just to see if it works.

Because these are merchandise gift cards for Disneystore.com. or The Disney Store only. They are not the same as the gift cards that can be used at the resorts, parks or on the cruise line in addition to the stores. They definitely will not work to pay your balance for your trip.

Also, Gift Card Granny only directs you to the website that has the cards - Gift Card Rescue, ABC Gift Cards, Plastic Jungle etc.

I have bought many cards through GCG with no problems, but like the pps have mentioned the Disney cards are usually for the DS and cannot be used in the parks. Once in a while you can find cards you can use in the parks but you have to check directly with the site selling the cards.

You can always look for cards for places in and around WDW - Starbuck's, Landry restaurants (includes Yak & Yeti), Bahama Breeze, Friday's, McD's etc.
