Anyone through Giftcardgranny I am comfortable using. However, I am never comfortable regifting from ANY site. I've never had an issue getting money back for faulty gift cards but would be embarrassed (or the recipient would be embarrassed) if they got a drained card.

I used to use Giftcardzen, but they were acquired by RetailMeNot. RetailMeNot now sells giftcards at a slight discount, but they don't appear to be buying any, so I guess with the acquisition the business model changed somehow but I really don't know how exactly.

But check them out https://www.retailmenot.com/giftcards. Retailmenot is definitely a reputable site but all of them are prone to issues honestly.

I **suspect** (just based on what I see, no other real knowledge) that RetailMeNot is partnering with retailers to offer their giftcards at a slight discount, which could make them less prone to balance theft. I say this because most of the cards have nice round balances and because RmN has done that sort of thing in the past. But they also have some cards with not-so-pretty balances - this could be the Giftcardzen stuff they got in the acquisition still being burned off, or it could be that my guess about their business model is completely wrong LOL

I checked out giftgranny and some others and they only do e-cards which aren’t too nice for gift giving!

Most of them are e-gift cards (although, not all). However, I'd never recommend gifting a gift card from a discount retailer anyway. My only suggestion is to look at places like Sam's Club, Costco, BJ's, Target or grocery stores. Check out the Disney Gift Card Deals thread and there are tons of ideas of how to get discounted gift cards through these retailers - not just Disney. Sometimes up to 25% off.

as others have said it is not a good idea to gift that type of gift card.
All the cards you are purchasing are unused balances that a private person is selling the company and they resell it you. With this there is a lot of room for theft and they are only guaranteed for a short period if time so unless that person uses the gift card in a few weeks and finds that is invalid you will have little chance of getting you money back. It is strongly suggested you buy gift cards as gifts direct from the retailer or a retail store.. example could be Shoprite sells gift cards on will run a promotion on occasion which can save you money.

Never gift a gift card you bought 3rd party. These cards can get drained, it’s not an uncommon occurrence, & you have to go back to the vendor for a refund. That would be horribly awkward in gift giving.

If I buy a discounted gc for a gift, I always take it right away to the retailer and use it to buy a brand new gc to give; but I have that kind of time;-)
