So....we were going to wait until we arrived at WDW to buy our tickets...but with recent talk about price increases we decided to try and call and get them ordered and paid for. We need 2 premium annual DVC renewel passes, we need 2 DVC annual passes and 2 7 day park hoppers. We arrive June 16This is where we hit a brick wall....

We have $3000 worth of gift cards. We have on $1000 card, $600 worth of $50 and the rest in $25.

I called DVC...cant process more than 2 methods of payment, call Disney Travel Company

I called Disney Travel Company....cant process more than 2 methods of payment, call the Gift Card Services hotline to combine them.

I called Disney Gift Card Services.....they can be combined at the parks at guest services.....BUT im not in the park....again want to get tickets so I can avoid price increase. She did say that I could have them combined at the Disney Store however the nearest Disney store is 3 hours from my house. She tells me to call Disney Member Services who are only open Mon thru Fri.

Has anyone else had this experience that can give me some advice or should I just wait and get my tickets there and hope to avoid the price increase?

When you say Disney Member Services do you mean DVC Member Service? If so, they are open today.

She might have meant Member Accounting which is only open Mon through Fri.

I called DVC member services first....then disney travel, the disney gift card co, the other number she gave me is for some sort of guest services but only open m-f

I think that's the ticket services number - and if I recall they have very typical M-F, 9 to 5 hours.

I know it's only recently (as in last few years) that they could even take more than 2 or 3 forms of payment in person at the ticket windows at WDW, because I remember Cheshire Figment posting about that, so it wouldn't surprise me if they still can't do that over the phone for some reason.

I think the best approach, if you can do it, is to go ahead and use the big card + the next biggest card and buy whatever you can over the phone. Use a credit card to purchase the rest, and use all the remaining gift cards for your trip for dining, souvenirs, etc.

I would hold off as long as possible. If the price increase doesn't come before you get to the parks, then you are golden. And if it does, you can do as the PP suggested and use 2 gift cards per pass with the rest going on a cc. I'm sure you'll be able to find a way to spend the gift cards once you're in the parks. :)

At least at the ticket windows, they can only take up to three forms of payment...BUT...they can now take multiple gift cards that make up one "form of payment". Under the "gift card" option, they keep tallying until you come up with the final amount, then that amount is entered as the one form of payment.

Many people buy small gift cards with each pay check as a way of saving for their trip.

And those with the Target Red card can get 5% off cards in stock at Target, but the largest denomination Target carries are $50 GC.

I don't have a Red card, but when Target handed out 10% off coupons during the Holidays last year, I bought 18 GCs and used them to pay our DVC dues. -- Suzanne

Why can't you do separate transactions? At least for the higher value cards. So say, you can combine the $1,000 and the $600 one to get 3 annual passes. Then you can combine what's left with a smaller value gift card to get another, etc.

$600 is the total of the $50's (12 of them). You could only combine 1 of them with the $1,000.
