Gift Baskets Picture Thread

Sarah just made a basket for my DH that he will get when we arrive on out trip in May. He's a total Star Wars nut so I had a Dark Side of the Force Star Wars basket made for him.

Sarah was great to work with.

I was lucky enough to have Feralpeg make a basket for my DD for a surprise Christmas trip in 2004. For those making their own baskets and looking for ideas, I'll post the picture here. My DD absolutely loved it and has been so disapointed in the past 2 trips that she didn't have a basket waiting for her, and I should mention this is not a young child, my DD will be 21 in 2 weeks!!

I order a small basket for my family in November. I loved the basket. It had Pilgrim Pooh, a few snack and a few water bottles. I think I paid 25 total. Sarah was not adding on a $25 delevery fee then. I was planning to use her again for my next trip but I am rethinking I could make my own and ship it down cheaper than the $25 she has added.

Prior to her charging a flat $25 she wasn't making any money and most likely it cost her to make baskets. It was a great way to get her name out there since she was brand new then. It seems to have worked and she seems to be doing well.

For the $25.00 ($5.00 each for more then 1) she is shopping for items, providing the basket, filler, wrap, bow and then delivering them. She also has an 800# that isn't free for her as well as maintaining a website. Also take into account all the quotes with pictures that she does that people wind up changing their minds or not ordering. Time is money. She's not making much profit if you add up all the costs.

I don't personally know Sarah but I do know what the prices of items are and how much she is charging. She obviously loves what she is doing.

Mickey is Jack Sparrow and Minnie is Tinkerbell. Yes we are soooo excited!! I cannot wait to see my kids faces!! We leave in 25 days for 10 wonderful days at POP!!

Sarah told me that they changed the refil mugs to the same mug for all the resorts... I am pretty bummed about that! I liked how they were personalized to were we stayed... since I still use them...

That's really nice of you to do. I make gift baskets for business associates, but I don't sell them. Hawaiian candy, coffee, Japanese candies, etc. They are way more impressive than a printed mug or something like that, and you have to put time and care into them.

I just like seeing people's gift baskets, not matter who created them...
