Just wondering if anyone has ordered a gift basket for your kids for when you arrive? I was thinking about it, but its the 28 dollars that I am unsure about paying to have it made and delivered. I think it would be neat for the kids, just wondering if anyone has and what your kids reaction was?

Thanks.. Sarah:woohoo: :hippie:  :dance3: :cheer2:

Not sure about regular gift baskets but when we were there in April 2006 it was Easter and they were selling Easter Baskets at the hotel. They were more than 28 dollars but the kids absolutely loved them.

Well, he's not a "kid", but I ordered a gift basket for my fiance on Valentine's Day. I ordered from Disneyflorist, and it was a really nice basket.

It won't be in the room when you arrive, but it'll be delivered once you're in there...

I have ordered one for our upcoming trip. I dealt with memories by betsy (formerly sarah). The basket I've got is for the family. 3 sets of ears, 3 refillable mugs, 10 dollars Disney Dollars for DS and a couple little things. Betsy has been great to work with.

Doesn't she have a rather large charge on top of the cost of the basket items? I'm just curious. I plan on buying all of those things while we're there for my kids, but a basket might be a nice welcome. I had looked into it before but I think her charge (or the woman that had the business previously) turned me off of it. Does she have a different fee? New website?
Thanks for the help!
:yay:

The charge was $25 for the basket/delivery. My total came to $127 USD. I just figured since it would be $36 for mugs, aprox.$35 for ears and the $10 card that wasnt too bad. Yes we would have bought the ears and mugs anyway but this is a nice surprise for DS. If we were driving and I could make my own I probably would. This is just so much easier.

Another Disser's DH got ahold of me last year when they were going for her B-day. I sent him to DisneyFlorist. I believe it went over well....
I don't know that she will see this to post though - she has a 6 day old baby at home!

I am thinking of using DisneyFlorist too as this trip is my DH's birthday.

I've been extremely happy with Memories by Betsy (http://www.memoriesbybetsy.com). She couldn't be nicer and really helps you customize the gift basket so it's just right for you. I also think her website is great since it gave me a lot of ideas before contacting her.

You tell her the budget that you want to work with and she offers suggestions to stay in budget. When she completes the gift basket she sends you a picture of them and then sends you an invoice. She couldn't be more helpful and it couldn't be easier!!

Below is a picture of the simple welcome gift basket she created for DS and DD. It wasn't expensive at all since I told her my budget and she gave me options to work within that budget.
