Gideon's Bakehouse

Heard so much about this place yet never been there.... Its on our list for our next trip...... sounds and looks so good !!!!

Just as a FYI, Gideons just posted as a tip expect to the VQ to be turned off around 7 each night. It's so they get can get through everyone before closing and not have to turn anyone away who's been waiting

We got into the virtual queue and it was 4hrs. We loved the experience and the shop but the cookies for us were a disappointment. We got the chocolate chip and the pistachio toffee. The cookies looked delectable but the texture was like a partially baked flattened scoop of cookie dough. I think we enjoy our cookies “cooked”. Presentation: 5, Experience: 4, Cookie: 2.

We had the num num cookie at Hollywood Studios! It was warm, gooey, fully cooked and delicious!

I know the virtual queue is regularly ~3 hours long. Does anyone know what time the virtual queue has been closing each night? I know that the shop is open until Disney Springs closes, but didn't want to get there too late in the evening to have the virtual queue already filled.

Also, I really want to try their hot cookie hour from 7-8. Does anyone know what time I should try to enter their virtual queue to attempt to get in during that hot cookie hour?

Thanks!
How do you get on the virtual que? We are going over tonight for dinner, and I thought it might be nice to pick up some yummy treats for dessert..

we saw a booth right near by where you can get in on the que

lines were absolutely insane at that place. i never made the effort. i'm sure it tastes great but time's too valuable.

Thanks for the quick response... Our ADR isn't till 7:15.., and we will most likely get there early around 5 ish... I might try to scan to see if we can get in the que... and see where it goes...

Where is Gideon's in proximity to the Boathouse?

within eyesight. honestly probably no more than a stone's throw.

all of the spots in that area are 10/10. i am particularly fond of Jock Lindsey's. Wine Bar George is also right there and is great.

That is what they're cookies are known for, tasting like they are underbaked, even though they aren't.

Hi! I’m local but I got there at about 9:15am yesterday and was 4th in line. They opened a bit early... 😊
When I visited last Sunday we got in the virtual wait list at around 9:45am. ....

Are there certain entrances (temperature checks) that are open before the rest of Disney Springs is open? If you have entered DS prior to 10, where did you enter? (I know it's all subject to change but having an idea how it has worked in the recent past helps to know what to expect.)
TIA

We parked at the Orange garage on the first floor, took the escalator up to the second floor to the temperature check, then continued down another escalator into DS. I think the Lime garage was already full?

It was not busy at all when we arrived. By 10:30 am, there was a noticeable uptick in crowd levels. As we left around 12:00 pm, we were in total shock when we saw the temperature check lines. So many humans. We were glad to get in early, do our shopping and stop by Gideon’s, then grab to-go lunch and beeline it outta there before things got too crowded (for our taste at least).

A 9:45 am arrival worked out well for us!

Hi! I generally park in the Orange garage on the 3rd floor. Go down the stairs and get into temp check. I get there super early because even prior to Covid I don’t do well with crowds. I work M-F so I only go on weekends. I get there around 9:15-9:30 am. Last weekend I was at Gideon’s at about 9:15 or so and was 4th in line. (4th group, not person 😊) I think they opened about 10-15 minutes early because I was out before 10. I’m normally out of DS by noon or 1 when it starts to feel especially crowded.
