We did the chicken take out at the trail ends tonight and ate it at one of the picnic tables. It was really good...so was the mashed potato and gravy. Dinner for five was only 42.00 and that included sodas and apple slices. Yum!

We are planning to do that in October. Was it easy to find a picnic table? Did you go to the campfire sing-a-long or watch the electric water parade while there? Would love to get more info about all of this!

We got our chicken mixed. You can get all white meat. The cashier asked up if we wanted mixed it 10 breasts. Not sure if a price difference. With the soda you get three refills within next 2 hours.
Easy to get a table. Covered by an umbrella. They give you plates and have wrapped utensils.

The campfire is great. Make sure to go around 7. Chip and dale come out and interact with the kids. Great time to get some great pics. There is usually charades, trivia, or bingo going on. You can buy a s'mores kit or bring your own. Tip is to wait a bit to roast your marshmallow that way not so crowded at the fire.

The boat parade is 9:45 and you see it perfectly at the beach. Worth going to watch it. My 5 yr old dd loved it.

Thanks for the review, we are gonna get this when go this time. Just ride up on our bikes after setting up and bringing it back to the 5fer though. :)

My wife and I each had the lone ranger (all white), which is two pieces plus two sides with bread. This made two meals for us. Also had to save room for dessert. If you are traveling with a couple small children, you can eat for $20.00. We sat on the porch and people watched, but you could go to the beach and wait for the electric water parade or the MK fireworks.

Does the Trail to Go accept the dining plan? We will be on the QS and plan to go over one evening for Chip 'n Dale Campfire. This would make a nice way to have dinner beforehand I think. It's also my understanding there is no indoor seating, correct? It's just a to-go type place. Just want to know what to expect. Thanks!

When are you going in October? We are doing this on October 25. I've read that it is easy to grab a picnic table and eat, but we will have a blanket for campfire so if there are no seats we will have a picnic down by the water!

Did you read to take bug spray and flashlight for campfire?

I posted the Trails End Takeout menu (from last year) in this thread:

The big 10 piece chicken dinner doesn't qualify but the individual dinner (The Lone Rider) does. They also have pizza which requires two credits.

Sounds like a plan! No seating for takeout inside but there are the tables on the side porch. There is inside seating for the Trails End buffet dinner folks only.

I had the lone ranger meal twice last week once at the tables and once brought back to our cabin! Dh had the pulled pork. We loved it!

And also tables next to the marina, easy to get one to the right of the rental building. It's almost a secret (until everybody takes the chairs for the water parade and fireworks).

Well, I know what I'm having for dinner. Unfortunately I'm 1003 miles from Trail's End so it's KFC instead. Sadly, not the same.

That Chicken was amazing! And their was a huge bucket of fries too! It was pretty easy to ride our bikes to bring it back to our site too, nice big bags that they give it to you in.

That's definitly our new go to set-up meal here. :)

Nothing like settling in after picking up my Internet Kit, refillable mug and bucket of Giddey UP!! :cool1:
