Gibson Girl seating question

The Gibson Girl ice cream parlor on Main Street is one “must-do” spot during each of our trips. The only issue we have with the place is the lack of seating. The few tables there are usually taken. I know that Disneyland doesn’t mind visitors sitting down in one counter service area with food purchased in another, so I am trying to think of where there might be seating close by. The only spot I can think of is the seating for the refreshment corner, but is there any spot that would be closer, which I may be forgetting about?

No, that is the closest spot to Gibson Girl. They (GG) used to have a bit more seating, but then they expanded Carnation Cafe

Yes as long as it isn't a table service restaurant you can sit with your treat from Gibson Girl. So while Carnation Cafe is right next door, you can't sit at their tables. Coke Corner is probably closest and the many tables of Jolly Holiday are right next door to that. Depending on time of day and crowds, you might be able to find a nice bench in Town Square (between Opera House and Fire House). Or a bit farther and with a nice view are the benches at the top of the stairs leading up to Main Street Station, but there is no shade up there.

I was irritated by the people sitting at those tables, not eating ice cream and charging their phones. We ended up using the "bar" counter on the left hand side wall of Gibson Girl. During the fire works it would be difficult to take your ice cream anywhere else!

There are also a few tables across Main Steet between Disney Clothiers and Market House behind the fruit cart that might be an option. I’ve never tried to sit there so I don’t know how hard it is to get a spot but it might be worth checking.

We try and find an outside table down the "side street" where you can hear the man at the dentist or taking a shower (he's singing). It's really fun! I believe it's just outside Market House.

Or people steal the table from your kid who politely waited for it to become free. That happened ONCE (lesson learned- now at 15 she still talks about the day 2 old ladies stole her table). She hasn’t lost a table since.
This probably doesn’t help, but we like Clairabelle’s in DCA better and there is lots of seating at the Starbucks that it’s connected to.

I saw a picture of benches inside the movie theater on Main street now. If you don't need a table and want to be indoors, that's an idea.

Oh, I didn’t think of that! I’ll scout this out & will report back. Ice cream Sundae and a movie! That sounds like fun. Do they allow food in there, though?
