We did some remodeling before we moved in but not much, things like new carpets and putting up wall panels, my Dad installed a new wood burning stove and things like that. Well I can tell you that with 100% certainty that every time my ghost talked to me I remembered what she said. I can't (and couldn't then either) remember the sound of her voice, only that it was feminine but I do know what she said and I do know that she touched me more then once. I used to have horrible horrible horrible dreams, so very vivid and so very scary, I would compare them to night terrors but I was well above the age that I should have had those and I did not have any history of having nightmares of this caliber, they didn't start until we moved into this house. My room was the Lady's room, she and her DH had lived in the house for years and years, when he passed she stayed as long as she could but eventually she was put in a home. Her children didn't sell the house until she passes and my parents bought it. It was built in the 1890's and is a beautiful old home, 2 stories with a balcony upstairs outside my parents room. My sister and I slept downstairs, we each had our own rooms. Well I would have these horrible nightmares and wake up crying and sweating and feeling scared out of my mind and I wouldn't be able to go back to sleep. One night after a nightmare I felt a feather light touch on my forehead, I heard a voice say "sssshhhh, it's all right. No one will hurt you, I'm here with you alway" and I felt so much better. I stopped crying and fell back to sleep and slept a wonderful dreamless sleep until it was time to get up the next morning. A couple nights later I had the dream again, the same thing happened. This time I opened my eyes and a pretty lady in a period gown was "sitting" on the edge of my bed, she touched my forehead and told me all would be well and to go back to sleep, she smiled at me and I went back to sleep. This continued until I moved out of that house. I told my Mom who believed me, I told my Dad who laughed at me, years later my Dad asked me again because he'd been experiencing things there and wondered what I had to say. He said he still didn't believe but strange things happened after he moved into my room downstairs. There were so many things that happened there...we would all be downstairs and hear a ball bouncing upstairs, Dad would yell at my little brother and/or sister (they slept upstairs) and they'd say "we are right here Dad". lol Things would be moved, misplaced, etc etc.....I absolutely 100% believe in the paranormal.
Good luck!I'll just say that I respect your opinion but I don't agree. I see no need to provide facts proving my assertion any more than I expect you to prove that it's all nothing.Agreed. People want to believe some random noise, reflection etc is supernatural so they will do anything.
There is nothing out there folks. No ghosts, no goblins and nothing that goes bump in the night..
I am sure people will come up with all the "facts" yet there are no facts. Not one thing proven and tons that are shown as fake, false or wrong.
I too jokingly (I hope!) think our house is haunted.
Long story short, it all started after we changed the light fixture that hangs over our kitchen sink. The woman who sold us the house commented on how much her father LOVED that lighting fixture (he had bought it for her). He died (although not in OUR house) three days or so before our closing.
I think he's mad and "visits" us occasionally. Since that day, this house makes the strangest, out of place, unidentifiable noises.
I am sure that it is ally imagination and typical "house noises", but I still wonder if it could be that man...

.....and I'll never remodel, ever. Nine out of ten times, on those ghost shows, they start with - everything was fine until we decided to (remodel the bathroom, knock out a wall, change the kitchen cabinets).
I don't care if I moved into a house with a green toilet... it's staying.![]()
), and I think the owner died there.

Now that I think about it, I really don't like the house anyway!![]()

Hahahahaha!![]()
She's worked out fine. BTW, this is off topic, but do you remember the dog we discussed about a year and a half ago? You tried to talk your husband into letting you have her. I just wanted to let you know that she wound up staying with my daughter and her husband. She came with a collar that had the name "Rage" on it, but her name is Daisy now. She has done extremely well with the two other dogs they adopted and is very much a sweet tempered animal. She has some scars so is ugly as they come, but she's so ugly that she's cute. She's worked out fine.

YES! Oh Good!!!!! That's wonderful!!!
I like "Daisy" much, much better. I'll never understand these 'hostile' names, people name their dogs. Rage.![]()
. He begs Daisy to growl or bark or something
, but all she does is wag her tail!

She's very much a "Daisy"! My son-in-law teaches high school and has to deal with the dreaded yard rollers every Halloween. He begs Daisy to growl or bark or something
, but all she does is wag her tail!

Trying to tie this into the thread - neither Charley nor Hazel has spotted a ghost in our house.![]()
