My husband and I love the show Ghost Hunters  It has gotten me and DH very interested in ghosts. I been looking on the web and I see there are such a thing as Ghost tours. I'd love to do one and so would DH. But would you really see a ghost??? I think touring some of the places that the ghost hunters have like the Waverly hills Sanatorium would be really neat!!

What I wouldn't give to be on the TAPS team!!!

Love this show, too! "What the frig?"

We've been DVR-ing all the episodes and haven't watched them yet but we were pretty excited to see that they visited the Stanley Hotel here in Colorado. Haven't watched it yet, though, so no spoilers!

As far as Ghost Tours, I wouldn't take one and expect to see a ghost. Watching the show, you can see that ghosts are unlikely to show up when you want them to. Having said that, I have heard tell of Ghost Tours that ended up being productive, but I am sure it is rare. I would do some research on local haunted places and explore them yourselves just to see what you experience. We have done that at the Stanley and while we haven't seen ghosts, we have had some hair-raising experiences, which can be pretty fun, too.

Good luck!

Never been on one but would love to do it. Ghost Hunters is my favorite show :)

I know there are several in New Orleans and I'm going to try to go and do one this year. Maybe around Halloween.

My DH and I did do a ghost tour at the Myrtles Plantation a few years ago but we didn't see or experience anything. It was a very interesting tour though and we heard alot of neat stories and even saw some ghostly pictures that other people had taken.

DH and I are hoping to go on a tour with Richard T Crowe here in Chicago. It is mostly just a driving tour of the local haunts and he tells about teh legend behind them and his experiances too.

I have done some in St. Augustine. No Ghost but some orbids in my pictures when I developed them. It really was pretty cool just to go on the tour and hear the history.

We took the ghost tour at Belcourt Castle in Newport RI. It was a fun experience. I didn't sense anything paranormal, but my wife swears that she got an electric tingle while next to a 'haunted' chair.

We did a candlelight Ghost Tour in Lexington, VA. Nothing too strange, but some really eery feelings. Also did one in Newport, RI. THat one was so-so, but we definitly plan on doing the Belcourt Castle one this summer.

I've been on the ghost tours in Strasburg, PA & Gettysburg. They were fun. We enjoyed the stories but didn't see anything. It was evening but we were still walking along main roads with cars driving by & people waving from their porches.

There was a ghost tour offered in Dublin, Ireland when we were there a few weeks ago. My dh was begging me to go and I said no way... I love the show Ghost Hunters but would prefer to watch it in tv, don't want to experiance it in person.

I did one in York, England, and it was fun. We didn't see any ghosts (I'm not so sure I even believe in them), but it was fun to just listen to the stories and see the spots that they frequent.

Was it the Edgar Allen Poe tour at Astor's that you went on?

Be forwarned. When we took the Belcourt tour in 2004, it was long and included a talk and slide show that was nearly an hour itself. Worth the price of admission, but plan on being there 2-2.5 hours. And it may be a bit dry for small kids.

I did one in Charleston, SC. It was a lot of fun but we didn't see any ghosts. It was a lot of history mixed in with ghost stories.

I've done one in Old St. Augustine, they have several so I want to go again.
Did not see any ghosts, but got some great stories and a lot of history.

We went on a walking ghost tour :scared1: in Franklin TN (near Nashville). Lots of civil war history... no ghosts though. It was interesting but I wouldn't do it again there.

My sister and family went on a horse drawn carriage ghost tour in Savannah GA and said it was lots of fun. I would like to do that if we are ever there. More ghost history in Savannah I think!

I've done one at Harper's Ferry, WV. The city I live in (Frederick, MD) also has one downtown each weekend, I believe. We're an historic civil war site.

I think there's also one offered in Burkittsville, MD that corresponds to the Blair Witch stuff.
