Hey guys, I was just reading a thread on another message board that I lurk on (Allnurses.com) The thread is titled "Whats your best nursing ghost story" actually let me post a link http://allnurses.com/forums/f8/what...host-story-108202.html?highlight=afraid+blood

So anyway I started thinking about my people here at the Dis and it got me thinking about our regular old ghost stories as I can honestly say I have never experienced one while working on the floor.

However, I do have a couple of stories that are kind of ghost related in nature; When my pop passed away, I wasn't there with him because he wanted me to remember him as he was and so I waited at home for news that he passed. After my mom told me, I went to bed feeling sad and guilty for not being there and when I drifted off I had a dream. My pop was sitting on my bed, saying goodbye to me. He looked like his normal healthy self and not any bit sick. He told me it was time for him to be with my grandmom and although he loved me very much, he said he would always be watching, I just wouldn't see him again. I was so glad we got to say goodbye to eachother that it helped me grieve so much easier.

Another one is when my dad passed away, I was in school and everyday the teacher would have the class say a little prayer for him after our normal morning prayers. Well right as she said this, I had this feeling in my stomach like he had passed on, I told the teacher I needed to go home immediately and she looked at me strangely, but sent me to the office to phone home, the principal was a very sweet nun who was a friend of the family (this was the parish I belonged to as a kid in grammar school, before I moved to an evil money grubbing parish that turned me into a recovering catholic :lmao: ) so she allowed me to phone home, my aunt answered and I told her that I knew I needed to come home immediately, well she told me my mom was on her way and was coming for me. About a half hour later, my mom arrived and told me that yes my dad had passed on. Sister Rosemarie hugged us both and asked my mom what time he has passed, mom answered 9:05. This was exactly when I felt that queasy feeling in my stomach. I told my mom this and she said that when he passed, he squeezed her hand and the room lit up, she knew that the angels had come to take him.

These are the things that keep me believing that there has to be something, even if I don't have alot of faith in organized religion, I still believe ;)
