Ghost Hunters Thread & Personal Ghost Experiences & other Paranormal Talk.

Okay, I am absolutely loving your thread!!! My mom and I have always both been really intrigued by ghost stories and have a few of our own to tell which I'll get to later. I am actually still back on page 52 which it has taken me 2 1/2 days to get to :rotfl: I have been reading this thread every time I have a spare moment. Anyhow, I had just read a few strange stories further back in the thread and was totally focused on reading when my dog suddenly jumps up and starts barking and growling and just going nuts!!! I don't think I've ever jumped so high im my life:scared1: . So I get up go in the living room which is where she was looking and nothing, look outside and nothing:confused3 . Anyhow, I have no clue what she was barking at but man she got my heart pumping!!! Okay back to page 52, I'll be back.

This is a great thread. I had never even heard the Disney ghost stories prior to the Dis. My very first premonition was a Disneyland one. I had a wonderful dream about this place and all the things I did. Then a couple of days later my godparents picked me up for my birthday and took me to Disneyland for the first time. I could tell them exactly where every single ride was and even had deja vu the entire time we were eating dinner. Perhaps I was just destined to be a Disney lover?

Hello all!

I just had to come in and share my thoughts on the episode of Paranormal State that was shown Monday night but that I was finally able to watch last night. The episode for anyone iterested in trying to find it on the net is called The Messenger. The episode is about a "headless man" that is seen in the clients home. There is a point in the show during "dead time" (It was the second dead time; about 19 minutes into the show) when they are trying to communicate with the "man". Chip Coffey is sitting on a couch that is near a hallway where alot of the action has taken place in the past. The shows camera crew have a camera on Chip but you can also see the hallway. I SWEAR that you can actually see a black mass float from the left side of the frame and then go into the hallway. At that time Chip makes notice of it and says that something just went into the hallway. I tried watching the show again today and you can still see it but it's hard because it's so nice and sunny out today. If you have this episode recorded and haven't watched it yet go check it out. If you didn't record it try to find it on the net and see if you can see it. Please let me know what you found. I want to know if I'm just seeing things. (I really hope that the show didn't mess around by adding this in and that it really was "something" because that would be so cool if they really did catch "something" on tape.)

Have a good day!

Ok, I looked and I found it! Here is a link to part of the episode of which I spoke of http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OyHjjDR9JBQ
You really need to pay attention just after Ryan says "If your name is Bill Wells.." then they switch to Chip. You can see "something" floating from the left into the hallway.

I've been meaning to come on here for over 6 weeks or so to tell you all something. My DH was driving home on Route 18 (in New Jersey) one night from work, and who does be pass driving along but Tango!!! I forget what he said his licence plate was, but it had something to do with ghosts! It was pretty funny!

HI Guys,

I posted this recent story twice the other night but each time I went to post it said I was not signed in!! Then I go to post on another thread just to see if it was me and I could post.

As I mentioned earlier my dad died about a year and a half ago and he came to me after his death in a dream( because I asked read previous posts to understand this). Anyway, I had a dream about a week ago. I was in a hospital bed and my nurse came to the door and said you have a surprise visitor. I guessed a few people and she said , "NO". The front wall of the room had a frosted glass window half way up looking into the hall. I could see a figure pass it and then who pops into the door next to it but my dad. He waved and said , "Hi" in happy way. I looked at him and said, " Dad what are you doing here you are dead!! He said, "Iknow but I just came to see how you are feeing how you are doing." I said, "I am fine. " Then asked him how he was and he said he was doing great. I then hugged and kissed him and said goodbye. I opened my eyes but I did not feel like I was waking up only opening my eyes. I could still feel his beard on my lips from kissing him. Anyway, I felt really good! It was such a peaceful feeling. During the dream I said I am dreaming and my dad said, "no you are not." Anyway, I told my husband about it and said I did not really understand why I was in a hospital bed etc. so I felt it was really a dream it had no meaning. My husband reminded me that not 4 weeks earlier I had been in the hospital with a cancer scare and had a D&C(DuH!! how could I forget that). The dream made perfect sense to me then. My dad was checking to see how I was feeling.

Many times in the dreams I have of him I do not get a ton of words. Most of what he says is given to me in symbols. When he asked how I was feeling he was referring to my scare and having been in the hospital by him visiting me in the hospital.

I know he does this because it has happened to my son(Mr. EVP, Reincarnation) also long before it happend to me. Last year my husband found out he needed to have a stent put in his heart. About three weeks before the operation my son had a dream about my dad. He said he did not see his face but that he came up to the car window and all he could see was my dad's upper torso. He had on a uniform and my son described it perfectly to left breast pocket with my dad's name and even the color(dark green/blue) of the thread and uniform. (Think uniform like Maytag repair man). Anyway he said he could not see my dad's face but that his name was embroidered on the left side of his chest. He told my son that my husband was going to be fine but that he needed to watch his health and do what the doctors said. Years ago my dad had a job where he did wear this type of uniform BUT my son had never seen him in it AND we had no photos nor was it mentioned to my knowledge. When my son told me the story he thought it odd that my dad would wear a uniform in his dream. I told him he used to wear one and then I figured why, he was showing only the name over the left side of his chest...he had died from a heart attack and he was telling my husband to take care of HIS heart by showing only that part of his chest. I think he had the uniform on as a means of verifying first who he was and second that it was really him because he knew my son had no idea he ever wore one and yet he described it perfectly even to the way my father's name was written on it with a nick name my son never knew!!

I do not really know how to describe this type of dream/visitation but if you have ever had one you will know it.

I had one after my Dad died and it was very very vivid. It has been 15 years and I remember every detail of it.

My Dad died very suddenly, he died sitting in his chair watching TV. So, in my dream I am standing on my parents front porch. Dad is in the driveway looking at me. I ask him why he is standing in the driveway. He says, " I had to come to say goodbye to you, I never got to say goodbye." I asked him to come up on the porch with me. he then said "I can't, I can't come any furthur than the driveway, if I come any closer I won't be able to leave cause I died in the house." he then repeated that he just needed to say goodbye..and then he was gone. I woke up immediately feeling totally lost. I was in tears and it was just so real. I felt like I was really on the porch and he was standing in the driveway. I could hear his voice still in my head after I woke up.

I had them of my sister right after she died. It was always the same, I was crying hysterically and she was holding me, comoforting me telling me she was fine. It never felt like a dream waking up. And I saw a "vision" for lack of a better word--just saw a very vivid picture in my mind before she was diagnosed, of her in a coffin. I wish I could dream of my mom. :flower3:

 Hiya Pikester! I've never seen a PS show, but I might have to watch this one. How many ghosts would you rate it?

HI Guys,

Bella that has to make you feel great. :goodvibes When I first started reading the post, I had to stop and reread the part about the hospital to see if you were really there when you dreamt it because I remembered your D&C. I'm surprised you didn't ;) . What stands out in these dreams that make them different. I've had premonition dreams before that I know are different. But I'm not sure I've had a visitation dream before.

I've had dreams of my Nana, that I hope are not visitation dreams because they always are so dark and all I feel from her are sadness, loneliness, and that she's not in a good place. I hope it's not really her.

Since I thought I saw "something" I would have to give it an 8. A little bit after the "something" the guy Ryan takes a thermal image in the guest bedroom of something on the bed. He has Chip turn the light on and he claims he saw the outline of a human figure. Freaky.

Sometimes PS is good and other times it's no better then a boring episode of GH. I like it because I think Ryan, who is the leader of the team, is really cute! :lovestruc

I think I like y'all's stories better than GH/GHI! :goodvibes
DH is home this week, so I"m not scared to catch up!

Breezy, I will try to explain what stands out in these dreams. First, you know your eyes are closed but you know you are not sleeping(if that makes sense). You can open them at anytime. Second there is a message that makes sense and fits something in your life. In my dreams there are not huge conversations. It is almost like an esp type of communication. YOu can feel the person. If you recall the story when my dad died the radio in the bathrom in my mom's house started playing static and it was not plugged in. A couple of days later I was jolted out of bed by a loud sound almost like fire alarm and I heard voices from my radio. I said Dad I know you are trying to tell me somthing but you need to tell me in a dream and he did we both were looking at the radio and all he said was, "carry on, Carry on". I took it to meant that was what he was trying to communicate. I guess I am not explaining it but if you do have one you will know. I have had them about quite a few people. Most times they appear to be in their 30's even though they were much older when they died. They acknowledge that they are dead in the dream( but it is kind of matter of fact like they were acknowledging that they moved to a new house ...no big deal) and we have a short conversation that delivers a message. It is a clear message that you honestly do not need to interpret. The recent dream about my dad did not need to really be interpreted because if I had even considered the relation to my d&C it would have made sense but it was three or four weeks after so I forgot but once I was reminded it made perfect sense. It is not somthing you imagine because it is so clear and the interactions are so normal.
I do not know if I posted when my uncle came to me years ago. He said he had a messge for his kids to tell them whatever they do don't smoke. He was adamant about it. Only one of my cousins smoked. Few years later my cousin his son almost died from a lung infection due to smoking. At the time my mom said, YOUR father sent you a message NOT TO SMOKE!

When my aunt died a few years ago she was in her 80's. She came to me and was rubbing my back and calling me by her nick name for me she too was about 30. I could feel her hands and I also could feel the sensation when I opened my eyes. I know this is not a great explanation but I hope it makes sense.

IN your dream about your nana do you talk to her? Could she be reflecting not her situation but somthing that might be happening in your life. Did you ever notice the dream before a particularly stressful event?

Welll, hmmm....we've thought for the past year that DH might be dying and we're both in the mortgage industy.....I'd say the entire last 2 1/2 years have been pretty stressful

Seriously though, she's never really talked to me before in the dreams - almost like she couldn't talk was more like it. They were all very spooky, very dark, cold, and all involved lots of water :confused3 . I have no idea what they mean, but they do stand out from a normal dream, but more in a premonition type way than the visitation dream you're describing.

I think the visits from you Dad are amazing, they sound very comforting. :goodvibes

I watched it and I did see what you were talking about but it was very brief. I like GH better because on PS they say they see things but they never show the evidence like they do in GH. Even when they heard the EVP they really did not let us hear it. Think about the EVP at the Mt. Washington Hotel and how clear it was on GH.

I think Ryan is a cutie too!

I've had some dreams come true over the years. When I was about 12 I dreamed my pet rabbit died, when I woke up I ran straight out to his cage and he was dead.

Also around the same time my cousin and his wife were living in our basement (I lived with his parents). I was telling my aunt that morning while she was getting ready for work that I dreamed Tony and Kim were moving out. She couldn't believe it, they had just told her the night before they had found an apartment but hadn't told anyone else. I also dreamed they were having a baby before they announced their pregnancy to anyone.

When I was 26 I dreamed my uncle was found dead in his apartment. It was so real I had my mom call and check on him, he was fine. Less than a week later he died in his apartment. He called in the middle of the night to tell us he had called the rescue squad because he was having chest pains and for my mom to meet him at the hospital but he died at his apartment.

The day my mom died I woke up and had this really bad feeling. I was getting ready to call her cell phone to check on her when our home phone rang and it was my great-aunt. My mom had taken her to do errands and as she was leaving my aunt's she just collapsed and died on the spot.

My mom and I lived with my aunt all of my life. Long story so I'll spare the details, but my aunt and I were extremely close. She passed when I was 18 and I was having a very hard time dealing with it. Several days after her death I had the most vivid dream I have ever had in my life. We were sitting in our living room and she and I were sitting on the love seat. There were other people in the room but only I could see her. She told me that she was still with me and she would always be watching over me. I woke up crying, but I felt peaceful too. I really feel like she came to comfort me. It has been 17 years since she passed but I can still remember that dream perfectly and it still gives me a peaceful feeling when I think about it.

I posted awhile back about an experience I had as a child that someone thought could be a Shadow Man. I've been reading about them and I think that is exactly what it was and it really freaked me out so I have taken a break reading the ghost stories! I'm fascinated by all of this but it also really creeps me out! Especially because I work nights, alone, in an office one of my co-workers swears he has encountered ghosts in. It doesn't help that our server room that I have to go in several times a night used to be the morgue many, many years ago

You really hit the nail on the head when you described your dream and your reaction to it. As to the shadow people I know it is creepy but then again I always want to know more so I can be informed ...just in case. As I said in an earlier thread, I had no idea they even existed until a couple of years ago when I heard mention of them on a radio show.

By the way guys....can someone come up with a story. I am getting sick of sifting through all the political threads at the top of the page in the hope of reading something fun. I get way too sarcastic when I post on those threads ....perhaps I am possessed??/LOL

I'm watching Nancy Grace and am glued to the TV. They just took Casey Anthony away in handcuffs.
