Love Ghost Hunters. I like the show more than any other one because with all the debunking they do, ya know the rest is real.

DH is not really a believer, but he actually saw a ghost in our house. He was downstairs in a chair at night (fell asleep in front of the tv), and woke up to our daughter fussing. He got up and looked up at the catwalk that connects one end of the house (with our bedroom) to the other (with her bedroom). He saw "me" - or who he thought was me at the time, walk down the catwalk and go into DD's room. He went upstairs, and at the top of the stairs is master bedroom, looked in and saw me asleep in bed. He still didn't think ghost - it was so real looking, he though it was an intruder so he raced to DD's room and...nothing! He looked everywhere - nothing.

There's been other stuff, but...I'll wait.

I loved the last new episode they had on. I can't remember where they were, but a lot of stuff happened.

GH is one of the few shows I really enjoy. (I usually watch news programs). I too have had an 'experience' and that is what got me interested in ghost stories (but I'll save my experience for another night).

I didn't really care for the International GH - I think that was mainly because of team leader Rob.

I do wish they bring Donna back to the regular Ghost Hunters show. AND I wish Brian would just go away- he's nothin but trouble.

I love Jason and Grant!! I also think their debunking methods lend a lot of credibility to the other situations which they can't explain. I would love to investigate with them.

We love the show, but I couldn't agree more! I have tried to watch some of the other shows out there, but none are as good.

Did anyone watch GH International? I didn't care for that either...

Well, I hear that Sci-Fi has been pushing for more action, which is been causing alot of supposedly "set up" scares, which is the main reason you don't see as many house investigations as in previous years. I also heard that Sci-Fi told Jay and Grant that they wanted a better looking girl for the show, and they chose Kris for them. As you can see here, she's been an actress before they put her on the show http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1366043/ She even has a cameo in the new movie 21.

Brian Harnois explained how he was asked to leave the cast because they weren't Ghost hunting, they were rating hunting. He joined GHI which has no affiliation with taps which many people think they do along with Andy and Donna. They focus more on the paranormal which the show has lost track of since it's way over produced. These people were in it for the research, not the money like it has come to. There have been many other experiences where Jason and Grant are arrogant when you meet them and other stories which make it seem that Jay and Grant have HUGE egos. I've read this on numerous sites, i've also read different stories too which favor them. But Kris just didn't seem right from the beggining, and I tend to believe that story more than others.

I know that there have been a few rival ghost hunting groups that have accused them of all kinds of stuff but they never have anything to base their accusations on. Other than that I have no idea what the other poster might have heard.

Oh, there's been some squabbling within the group too. Brian has always had issues and some think that Donna wasn't treated well. But these things went on long before the show came around. (Yes, I've been following TAPS for a very long time. )

I will actually say you have a point with Kris. I don't care for her either. Honestly though it's because she is so BAD on the show. It would seem if she was any type actress she could at least ACT better. I miss Donna the most. When she got scared there was no doubt she was scared!

The thing with Kris doesn't surprise me. They say that Sci-Fi is very pushy about such things and they insist on adding the music and so on to create atmosphere. I'm not sure to be honest how much Jason and Grant go along with but I've heard that they keep pushing back. They do butt heads supposedly quite a bit.

As for Jason and Grant being arrogant, I think that they can come across that way. They are extremely stubborn that things will be done their way because they feel like they have something to prove about this spirit business. People try to get them to do things differently and they refuse which of course causes some people to get upset. I saw all that way back.

I personally believe that Jason and Grant believe totally in what they're doing and they are determined to keep the show going even if they have to give in to Sci-Fi. I'm not saying that they're noble but I don't believe that they're fakers either.

I forgot Brian. Brian was always a bit of a brat according to some people. How much of what he says is true I don't know but he is the only one spouting off which might say something.

Don't forget that there's also the wrestler that does the all night thing with them each year. Not TAPS idea at all!

There was an episode of a "shadow girl" believed to be haunting this house. This one was debunked by viewers on their own message boards, and Jay and Grant claim they had enough evidence to believe it was a shadow but had to talk to their producers to double check.

After this was put in slow motion and shown with the before picture of Steve sitting on the couch they had no comment. It's little things like this that have me doing this It seemed the show was credible up until it started doing the text your scares and press the panic button and prove you can do a summersault off a trampoline while videotaping a ghost stuff that shyed me away from it. Don't get me wrong, I still love watching it, but I take it as entertainment only.

Edit: Steve was shown sitting next to a statue, and this "girl" was a statue on a table. That was the big controversey that has still yet to be answered by any of them.

About the Gibbons Home & the Statue

Recently the was an episode of the show filmed at the Gibbons home in Washington State. In this episode a black shadow was caught on film. Many people have expressed that the mass was a statue that was present in the home. You guys have always been great eyes and ears in the past, unfortunately I missed the first half of the episode because I was helping my kids with things. Here are a few things to think about that, based on my emails, were obviously left out.

1. We rarely get to see a episode before it airs so we are seeing the editors interpretation of what went on at the investigation. Sometimes, like this case. Many factors that are important to us as investigators are sacrificed for other elements of the show. This is the editor's discretion and we have no real control of it.

***Let me clarify the above statement. I have no beef with the editors. They do a great job. It is the very nature of their job to have to make tough decisions and they make them well. Honestly, it is tought to know what was said while the cameras were rolling and what was said when they weren't. The editors only see what makes it to tape.***

2. When we first saw the footage our initial thought were that it was the shadow of the statue. Then we realized that it doesn't behave like a shadow. It does not follow the contours of the walls behind it. Then, we though maybe it is the statue itself. But this was debunked by placing the statue in the necessary location and having it appear clearly and vividly on our infrared camera.

3. We spent around 2 hours trying to figure this out with frustrating results. We were sure we could do it with the statue but to no avail.

4. During the reveal, we were very careful with the homeowners to express our thoughts that it was somehow caused by the statue but we couldn't recreate it.

5. We made a copy of the tape with the shadow footage on it and left it with the homeowners and asked them to try various things. Mark, the husband was excited as he felt the same way we did about the shadow. Through emails, it was expressed to me that he tried everything he could and could not give blame to the statue. In fact he couldn't debunk it at all.

So, where does this leave us? Now you know "the rest of the story" you can factor these points into your equations and let us know what you come up with.
