Being in the Halloween spirit, I have been watching Ghost Adventures this afternoon. It caught my interest when they were in the plantation in Louisana. I have watched a lot of other shows that plantation but this one actually showed a light going on and off :scared1: and you could hear voices chanting; most shows don't really ever show anything happening.

Have these guys and their investigations ever been proven to be a hoax?

Hahah! We watch GA religiously, mostly because Zak Bagans in unintentionally hilarious! But I can tell you for sure that HE believes everything that's seen and heard is absolutely real!

Lol, he is a bit over the top with his reactions. Maybe I just don't watch the other shows enough but I have never seen so many things actually caught on film. They get lots of voices.

I am watching the show now that is in Pennhurst State School and Hospital. The little girl's voice is eerie!! I wouldn't have went anywhere near that place without knowing anything about ghosts being seen/hear. Just the history of the place makes it seem evil. :scared1:

I've just started watching GA and I think it's hilarious! It cracks me up. I was a big Ghost Hunters fan until the girls started getting on my nerves. But I like the way they'd try to debunk everything before they say it's haunted. GA just believes every little noise is a ghost. And the way he runs around screaming cracks me up! :lmao:

I like Ghost Adventures but only as pure entertainment. The places they go to are fabulous and the guys are a hoot.

Plus as they get more shows on the air, they get cooler and cooler stuff. The first time I watched them, they had an all day marathon going on and I watched from 9AM until late in the evening. I was hooked.

They were the featured guests at Scarefest in Lexington last year and I have to say that they are absolutely wonderful and hysterical. They stood for pictures and autographs for hours and then walked about the huge crowd, talking with people and joking with them. I saw Zack record a video on a ladies' video camera for her son who was too sick to be there. What a nice guy - seriously.

And I do think that they are 100% honest people. They sure are over-the-top and they are VERY enthusiastic but they believe in what they are doing!!

I find that show to be ridiculous but funny. I love how they always provoke the ghosts: "Do you not like us here? Well here I am-- hit me!"

I never hear what they claim to hear in the EVPs though.

You summed up my thoughts perfectly.

I agree on the EVPs, I've never "heard" what it is they are conjecturing the ghost is saying. It sounds like their muffled speaking.:confused3

Last Halloween, we went to my sister's house and she told us, "Ugh, DH wants to watch this stupid ghost hunting how, they are doing it live." OMG, that was the end of it! We've been obsessed since but NOT for the way that DBIL originally wanted! We think he's hilarious!!

I love....
-how he walks towards the "spirits" like he's going to fight them
-how he tries to sound smart with he talks but ends up sounding ridiculous
-how he enunciates
-how he yells at aaron to be quiet, then screams like a girl
-when he gets "possessed," (that's my favorite!)
-how he shows us his arms
-when he says "did you hear that?"
-his hair (***?!)

And we love to call him Baggans, not Bagans...to my 2yo niece, he's "Uncle Baggans!"

Love Ghost Adventures for many of the reasons all ready mentioned. I like the fact that it's just the three of them and no extra camera crew. I love it when Zak and Nick have Aaron alone somewhere. Poor Aaron. Totally cracked me up when he had the wig on in the Stanley Hotel episode.

I love that show! It really gives me the creeps though. Especially the prisons for some reason. You would never get me in any of those places at night!

I pretty much watch all the ghost hunting shows on tv, and I think this one is the funniest. :lmao: Can't wait for all the live halloween shows :thumbsup2

Yes, poor Aaron. He just said he and his wife divorced because she was taunted by the spririts at Bobby Mackey's. I want to think that he signed on just as a camera man and got sucked into Zach's stuff.

And I agree about Zach's hair. What is with that?

They just showed them in the Ohio state prison. YIKES!!

The voices they get usually have been quite muffled and don't sound like what they say--except the prison!! Those were fairly clear. And the little girl's voice in the hospital seemed clearer than others.

The hospital showed Zac getting hit with a coat rack. It was on one side of the doorway when the passed and then hit him. and he got hit by a rock in the prison. Thats when I started wondering about them being proven to be a hoax. Does Ghost Hunters have that much "activity".

I have to say, if I was locked in some of those places I would probably think every sound was a ghost too!! :scared1: And I would probably be crying like a baby at the first one!!

...

Yeah, I saw that one after I saw the one about the brick flying through the air on another show.

I also like the fact that they let you hear or see what they have captured on their equipment throughout the show instead of just seeing it at the end.

I too watch many of the what I call Ghostie Shows. Paranormal State, Physic Kids, Ghost Hunters, Ghost Hunters International, A Haunting, The Haunted, you get the idea.

Yeah, I really like this kind of stuff. I don't watch it all the time though. Dd will get scared if she walks in the room and sees it, (:lmao: she just came in with her eyes and ears covered) so I don't usually turn it on.

i LOVE ghost adventures. i've got to admit my favorite is Aaron. i love how scared he is all the time. and it cracks me up when he hears something--his facial expression and "oh!"

i also like that it's just them. but they are a bit over-the-top. i think that makes them more fun though.

DD 8 watches Ghost Hunters. but i do not let her watch GA. i think it would scare her.

I like that its just them too. On one hand, I think they are over the top; but otoh, I think I might would have some of the same reactions as they do. Actually I would probably be running and screaming

Yeah, I told dd it would probably scare her, that's the reason for the covered eyes and ear:rotfl: Actually, I have been watching with the remote in my hand so that if something too intense happens I can switch channels really quick. :lmao:
