It's finally starting to look like the GF! Thanks for sharing the photo. :)

Looks like it's right on top of the pool. Kinda messes w/ the ambiance. Thanks for sharing the picture.

I've seen a couple of other pictures of the new VGF looking at it from across the lake and right now it looks kind of blocky/chunky as compared to the lines of the GF.

That's fairly typical for Disney and DVC... Take a fairly basic building, then bring in expert craftsmen to apply a bunch of custom detail.

Kidani was plain until they started adding custom thached and shingled roofs, etc.

I'm wondering what the noise level is going to be in those villas with the pool right there. I keep telling myself Disney must know what they're doing, but for me, the jury is still out on this one ...

The perspective from the picture throws you. It's not that close to the pool. Probably a couple hundred feet away.

Thanks so much for posting! Glad to see progress. I'll be down in June, hope the exterior will be close to being finished since I think it would be mostly interior work going on at that point.

The outside may be weather-tight, but it will still take months to add high-en of detail onto the building shell.

My first stay at Jambo, I got to watch Kidani construction slowly progress. While they had a water tight shell, It took all week for a crew to put plywood then firing strips on a single, shingled roof tower. That was a November (and Kidani was enclosed before then) before a May opening.

It's like how a builder can throw up a little McMansion in 3 months, but a high end custom home can take a few years. Attenton to design and detail take a long time.

Thanks for the updated picture! Things are finally seeming to be moving along, will be really nice to see when the exterior is finished. Looking forward to staying there sometime...

Once they lift the 2 spires in place they should have it dried on quickly
