Wife and I are returning to WDW after a long absence, this time with our 3 y/o son. Any experiences on which is better (more fun) for families?
We are thinking GF for its proximity to MK, but like BWI for embience; possibly a 1 bedroom suite at BWV.
We have stayed at Poly and BC on previous vacations when it was just us 2.

This will prob be 1st of many requests for help ;)

I'd go with the GirlFriend.

Oh, wait. GF means Grand Floridian !!!! In that case, I'd personally choos BWI. As elegant as GF is, WI impresses me as being a true resort get away. Both are high end, so you have to pick what's most comfortable. I guess the choice is between a more formal elegance at the Grand Floridian versus a more casual elegance at BWI.

You'll definately have fun either way.

We are members at the BWV's so of course I would say Boardwalk. We've been taking our dd since she was 18 months. Just taking a walk on the boardwalk was exciting for her (and still is and she is 7 now) Lot more room to roam there too. Good luck w/ your decision.

We love the BWV. We spend most of our time between MGM and Epcot and my kids are MUCH older. The question is ...do you plan to spend most of your time at MK or spread evenly among the parks. While I love the Boardwalk area it is a horrendous bus ride from any of those resorts to MK. Of course if you will have a car available to drive to MK then go with BWV. You can't beat the extra space of the DVC units.

For travel with toddlers, I always think being on the monorail is best but I'd pick Poly over GF. IMHO, Poly is a little more family/young kid friendly, both have zero-entry pools, both have beaches, Poly is a little less $$, and Poly is walking distance to TTC. And at the Poly with a 3 y/o I'd request a room close to the main building.
