GF Villa Views? Is it the difference in points (cash?)

We were trying to decide between BCV 2 bedroom or 1 Bedroom GF villas for our upcoming 8 night stay and decided to split the time between the two. We are out of points and would need to borrow or purchase in cash if we choose the lake view at GF villas. What are the standard views like and is the lake view worth the points (or in our case...cash) ?

If it's a difference between points for a standard view or cash for lakeview I'd choose the standard view every time.

we are in a standard (room 1603) and we have an amazing view of the pools, trees and main building... pick a few great standard views from that link and make a request I would never pay extra for the lakeview.

You would if you got 1221 and had the Porte Cochere wall view...

We have stayed twice in studios with a lake view and once with a view of the water feature and pools. Both have been lovely and we're not really sure what our favourite is. I think for us it's going to depend on whether we want sun on our balcony or not as both sides so far have had their own benefits.

With the lake view, we saw sun most of the day. With the water feature view, we didn't see the sun at all. On our visit next month, we have requested a room facing the parking lot as I think we will get sun most of the day. We are not people to sit in the sun much but we do enjoy seeing the sun and feeling the warmth at least for parts of the day.

Room 1603 was the one I as looking at requesting but the poster suggested me not requesting individual rooms. Did you request 1603 or give a description?

We are booked lake view in January. We stayed standard view last November. I was disappointed that we could only get lake view for January. Our standard view was of the fountain and the monorail going by. We loved it. To me a view is only worth more points if it's going to be much much better. Seeing the lake rather than a fountain isn't much much better to me. I think the ocean views at Aulani and vero are worth it as well as the Boardwalk view at BWV. Other than that, we're good with standard view.
