1) Is a PS generally necessary?

2) Which tea offering would you recommend, or do you prefer to go a la carte?

We did this about 10 days ago. We had PS, but it wasn't necessary that day . If this is something you feel you really must do, I would get a PS, but depending on when you go, it might be possible to get in without one.

Because none of us had ever done the tea before, we all ordered the Grand Tea, because it seemed to have a little bit of everything. (The glass of sparkling wine was a nice addition, too!)

It's really a neat experience -- something I'm glad I did and will definitely do again, but not every trip. ;)

We have done the tea twice. Both times, we could have walked in and sat down. However, we had PS for the first seating time and they sat those with PS before the walk-ins.

We have had the Buckingham Palace and loved it. It was just enough food, although it did not include the sparkling wine. There is a choice of pastries or strawberries and cream for dessert. It was fabulous!

Oh, I have another question as well! What's the dress code? Would sundresses and sandals be appropriate, or will we need something a bit more upscale?

I'm really *trying* to plan to keep it all to one carry-on suitcase each, so we don't have to check luggage. I did that successfully last year, but it was a stretch... and this year I'm taking my laptop. :confused3

It's the middle of the day. Technically the dress code is "Park Casual" but most people tend to dress up a bit for this. For a woman a sundress with sandals would easily be appropriate.

Hi,

We've gone both times & needed a PS!!! Busy! We usually get a set thing!

Enjoy

Hi there!
I have always had a PS when I have gone, Im sure it would have been ok to go without one, but I wouldn't chance it, I have read that there could be bridal parties having tea and that it can book up because of this....

I also had the buckingham Palace, here is what it includes:

Buckingham Palace - Our traditional tea sandwiches, scones and jam tarts complimented by fresh strawberries and cream, or a selection of freshly baked pastries, along with your choice of tea. $17.50 per guest

I loved it!

Also, I went in park attire (clean shirt and shorts, no tank top) and saw others dressed the same.
Since it is in the middle of the day, im sure they don't expect you to go back to your hotel to change before heading back to the park.

We do this on a MK day so you can just hop the monorail to and from the tea!

Hope this helped!

Thanks, all! We'll be doing this on our Grand Floridian spa day, which will also include some resort hopping, so I think I'll probably be comfortable in a sundress and sandals. Not sure how we'll dress the munchkins!
