Since it looks like we will be able to select off the menu for the GF tea, I went looking for a menu. The link below is from Deb Willis' site WDWIG. I don't know about you, but I want one of each!! The scones were wonderful, the tarts were yummy, and the desserts! Out of this world.

So, what are you going to order? I also liked their special blend tea, Garden View Bouquet - An unique mixture created by Harney and Sons exclusively for the Garden View Lounge

Jody,
I think it will depend on if/when I had lunch.
Right now the Fruit and Cheese plate with either some Black Currant or Raspberry tea sounds wonderful!

Are those tea sandwiches te little triangle sandwiches with white bread with the crust cut off with egg salad, ham salad or tuna salad fillings?

Hmmmmmmm! I wish that I had some to go with my Bass Ale at the Rose and Crown.

Thank you for the menu, Jody.

As I'm reading this while I'm starving, I want the Grand Tea!! ;) :teeth:
Seriously, I think I'm leaning towards the Buckingham Tea. It seems to be similiar to what we had last year and I liked that-a little of everything. :)

Yes, Ray, that's what the Tea sandwiches are. But it's all the other yummy stuff along with the tiny sandwiches that makes the whole thing so neat.

Especially the fresh berries in real whipped cream. Yummy. Low-fat, too.

Probably the Buckingham Tea, but the Grand tea looks good too.

My only problem with having tea is that I don't really like tea, but I'll drink it :)

But Kath, your tag says Honorary Brit............a Brit who doesn't like tea? ;) ;) ;)

I'm with you, Jody!! Some of each except for that duck liver and pate stuff BLEAH!! So I think I'll go for the Buckingham Tea. IMHO, English Breakfast is the best tea there is, so bring it on!!!

Corinne, trade ya some of mine for some of your cheese!!!

Ok---Does the Buckingham have the scones with the Devonshire cream? ( I'm not even sure what that is....just that seems like it might mean something----so Brits----whats the special cream?) Oh, those Yankees---- I'm thinking of the Buckingham as my first choice--if I can add a pastry or two ala carte---- Oh , who am I kidding I'll want a whole plate!!!!!!!!!!!

Now the next big question????

Do we all have our Tiara's-----?

I think I'll go for the Buckingham Palace, too. As long as I can get all vegetarian sandwiches. Otherwise, I'll do the fruit and cheese plate and a pastry or two (or three or eight). I'll probably go for the Raspberry Tea like I had last year. I'm not crazy about tea, but I do like it iced better than hot. Unless it's cold outside, then maybe I'll try the Hot Cinnamon Spiced!

I'm with you there!! (I just kinda look past that...it's not going on MY plate!)

Duck and goose pate is to die for.

Just my humble opinion, of course. ;)

I think I'll go with the Buckingham Palace, althought I agree with Steve- I love pate. I'm a tea drinker, so it's tough to choose- darjeeling, oolong, green, or black currant.

Good One Debbie -- I see the 'vegetarian' in you now. ;) My friend is a vegetarian, and she would have thought of that too. Not me. :o
