GF Sago Cay ~ Non-Smoking Rooms?

Does anyone know where the non-smoking rooms are in Sago Cay? I was just looking thru the passporter, and it says that floors 4-5 are smoking, leaving 1-3 non-smoking.

Does anyone know for sure? Anyone stay there recently?

Hmmm... when we were in Sago Cay last October our room on the 4th floor was non-smoking, and my BIL's dormer room on the 5th floor was non-smoking too. Have you called the GF front desk to ask??

Nope, I have not called the GF front desk about it. I wish I would have thought to check while I was there, but I didn not even make it into Sago to peak in a room when a maid was in there (I did this in Boca Chica, though). Boca Chica seemed to have the slightest smoke scent, though.

I thought that after renovation they had switched Boca Chica to non-smoking, and then the 4th and 5th floors of Big Pine Key and Sago Cay became smoking, but walking around Big Pine Key all the rooms had a non-smoking sign on them. Boca Chica had no non-smoking signs on the doors, but by the elevator it did say designated non-smoking floor (not sure if all the floors had this or not).

I'm trying to decide which building to request for my next trip! I really like the way the Swan theme is decorated, so I'm thinking about requesting Sago. BTW, Tgr, do they (people at the GF)pronounce Cay as cay or key?

Erika, when did your BIL stay in the dormer room in Sago Cay? How was his stay? Did he like that building?...the view?...the location?...the theme? How was the room? Was it in good shape?

Oh, one more thing! Erika, I just did a search for your Lodge Tower Pictures, and that room is indeed decorated in the Cameo theme (just like Josierac's). It is not in the Swan theme.

It's kinda difficult to see the bedspread, but the pillows are a very easy give away.

Okay, now that I've gone on (and on) anyone know anything about where the smoking rooms are at the GF? (by the looks of it, I won't have to worry about getting "stuck" in a smoking room!)

The 4th floor is non smoking. My room was in Sago Cay 4th floor last month.

I am very sensitive to smoke and I didn't pick up the slightest hint at Sago. If I were you I'd call guest services at GF, or the front desk, and tell them that you have a severe smoke allergy and that you need to know exactly which buildings allow smoking.

I think it's pronounced Kay.

My BIL was on the 5th floor, dormer room, overlooking the back of Sago toward the monorail. (garden view). I am almost positive that his room was the Swan theme because it was different from our room. It was very nice... I really like those dormer rooms, they seem so big and airy.

It was nice to see my pics again! I really liked that tower room, perfect for traveling with the little ones.
