GF Pirate Cruise..........Did Anyone else notice the

The cheap pirate caps they have switched to?

My boys went last year and received the cute pirate cap that is fully lined and cushioned.

This year the price of the cruise increased $5 and the caps are very cheaply made. Not even bandanna quality.

We keep these souvenirs and yesterday I did a side by side and couldnt believe the dramatic shift in quality in just a year! Just wondering if anyone else noticed this too!

I expect things to change over the years, but they went from 60 to 0 in no time! LOL

My two DS's have gone a total of three times and this past June was the first time we've gotten a bandana with mouse ears. Usually they've only gotten a plain red bandana with no adornment.

Considering they are babysitting and entertaining my boys for a reasonable fee the choice of headwear isn't a main concern. Perhaps it's more of a hit and miss thing, sometimes they have them available, sometimes they don't?

I remember the first time my oldest DS went, they only fed them Capri Suns and grapes! And they sailed off on a regular old booze barge with no benches or added safety features and were only gone for an hour and a half. So I'd say they've come a long way since then.

Sorry you were disappointed, LIFERBABE.

ETA: They didn't even label the kids with nametags on my DS's first trip! No beepers for the parents either!

Just an observation.

Maybe it is hit and miss with the hats.

My boys still enjoyed it but next year we will try something else.

Mine have enjoyed it, too, but I think they've finally outgrown it. I don't think they're going to take *not going*as hard as I will. I always loved hearing them singing as they motored back to the dock.
