GF or Poly...for a DVC?

Curious...

If we had our choice, which of the othermonorail
resorts would you like Disney to announce first?

I've stayed at GF only once & Poly several times, but I would definitely prefer Poly! I think they could really do a lot there w/ the whole theme and decor and what not. I would love for Poly to eventually become DVC & it would certainly be great to have another DVC option on the monorail.

While in general I prefer the Grand Floridian, I think the Polynesian would make a much better DVC resort. I think it has a great theme for that type of resort.

I voted for the Polynesian because I think that it has more character than the Grand Floridian.

Definitely GF!! We love GF. We actually stayed at the Poly and didn't really care for it, so no DVC there for us.

I also voted Poly and agree it has a lot more character than the GF. I vowed no more add ons, but Poly might change that.

I think the poly is quite dated and rather small for a resort, the GF is a much better choice for another upscale dvc spot.

In reality, there is limited space to build new DVC units at the poly. There is not much room to the right (facing the poly-in between the GF) and to the left is the TTC. There is more place to build to the right of the GF.
However, there are many Disr's out there that could show an ariel map and prove me wrong!
Maybe this is wishful thinking since I LOVE the GF...we need a 'girly' DVC!

I voted for GF because they are both tied for us and GF had fewer votes on the poll. That's how much we would LOVE either one! Whichever one is first is probably the one we will buy!

Although I've never stayed at either one, I voted for the Poly. Last year, I was fortunate enough to get a tour when I met a fellow DISer taking her first solo trip and staying at the Poly. I was so impressed with what a beautiful resort it was, and it made perfect sense how it could have such a loyal following. I'd love to stay there someday.

Poly hands down. I've stayed at both and GF really did nothing for me. Didn't think it was worth the price at all. I love the atmosphere at the Poly.

as I'm reading all the responses herein...it occurred
to myself that if there was to be a Poly
DVC then what Disney could do, based on the fact I stayed
in the Tuvalu Longhouse, is to raze the Tuvalu and the
longhouse to it's right(facing Tuvalu from the lake) and
erect the DVC right there! This area would more than support
a DVC. Building(s) could be part of the Poly, naturally, but
because of the marina's canal...be separate.

Any thoughts?...Disney?

Voted Poly! We've stayed at both and the GF did nothing for us. If there were to be a DVC at the Poly I can honestly say that my current contract would be sold and we would buy all of our points at the Poly LOVE IT!
