Thinking about staying here for 3 nights in October. Please, tell me what you liked about it! What were the balconies like? What type of ammenities do they have? :wave2: This will be the end of our honeymoon!

What I liked about it ... waking up to the calm of the water. It was mesmerizing. Seriously! We had a perfect view of the caste. How magical is that? The balcony was spacious enough - two chairs and a small table. It was perfect size for watching the fireworks and Electric Water Pagaent.
Worth every penny!!!

I agree, a GF lagoon view room is among the best at Disney for just feeling "in the middle of the magic", I will never forget when we spent 4 nights there. The castle is next door and looks great from the balcony esp at night, you can hear the MK music, the main st. train whistle, and are totally immersed in the feeling from this location ...
Not to mention how beautiful the resort itself is.

A perfect way to end your honeymoon.

Sounds like a perfect way to end a honeymoon! I am sooooo excited!

What did I like about it? How about seeing this every morning... :flower:

WHAAAAA!! I am getting more and more excited! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

We are going late September and I can't wait to arrive. What beautiful pictures :flower: :flower:

Thanks! Some more great things about the GF in general, not the LV specifically, are the beach (my DD loved playing there, even in December) and the transportation. The monorail is so convenient. And the boat to the MK is awesome too. It's so nice to glide across the lagoon after a long day at MK. Here's a picture of the beach with the wedding pavillion in the background:

Tinkerrn -

It's true about the linen and china. They will even set the table. We ordered room service for breakfast twice. Service was prompt and the food was delicious! After breakfast we took the coffee out on the balcony and read the free newspaper they delivered to the door.

OK..I am soooo ready for my wedding/honeymoon!!!! The linen and china sinched it for me  I am sure we will be ordering room service, due to the free dining now offered. No ADRS will be available. Thats ok, the view and ambiance will be perfect!!!! I am going to order a minin wedding cake also and have it delivered to our room!!! Any pics of the linen and china???? My FDH will be soooo psyched as well! I figure it is our honeymoon, go for it!!!
Do robes come in all the rooms, not just concierge?

anyone done the private dining? I am thinking of doing that for my husband. we will be staying here in dec for our 8th anniversary and thought about the private dining in our room on the last night and having a mini wedding cake and one of the slipper desserts.

We stayed at the GF in 1993, and had robes in a garden view room. Free dining - unless you are on some special "super inclusive" plan, it doesn't include room service. But yes, just for a pot of coffee every morning, they set the table and brought in the newspaper, and gave ice water. It was so special.

Sorry..let me clarify! We decided not to get the free dining, seems like the hassel and the over abundance of people taking advantage of it weighed against it. We will be ordering alot of room service, just in case the restaurants have no availability. Which is fine with me :goodvibes !!!!
