GF direct now or wait till GF2

So a resale contract just came up with our use year and 28 points, currently asking price is $195 per point, the question is do i go for this resale or do i wait for direct?

Only you know if you should Wait or not. I wouldn’t buy a single point for gfv until the new points go on sale direct and see where prices shake out

if direct points hit the market at $207 resale will plummet and $195 would be way over priced.

Thanks for the input, its a difficult decision because small point resales on my use year are hard to find, i have placed a lower offer at $178 to try factor this in and awaiting a response.

IMO I do think they will be around the $200 mark direct.

If gfv is in the $207 range I’d wager resale belongs in the $150s, using riv as comparative data point

Guessing that VGF2 opens at the much-rumored $207, you're talking about a $336 difference. What kind of 2021 and/or 2022 points does it have? If it's stripped (i.e. no 2021 or 2022 points), then you're definitely better off waiting for direct. You should be able to negotiate with Disney to get your Use Year.

Its a loaded contract with 46 points coming on 3.1.22 (18 points banked from '21, 28 points from '22)

If direct is $207 resale will be at least $30-$50 per point less. my guess but what will happen is resale prices crash

Given it’s such a small contract, I think buying it vs waiting makes sense because it’s not a lot of extra.

As long as you don’t care the points are restricted, it doesn’t matter.
