Have a dilemma. One family we will be in the Main Bilding staying Concerige/Club leve, with a Magic Kingdom View. One family will be in an Outer Building Conceirge/Club Level, not necessarily wiht a Magic Kingdom view. Will those families be allowed to visit each others Conceirge/Club, so that we can all hang out togther? hope this makes sense. Thanks in advance for any help.

That's a good question. I don't know the answer for sure, but my guess would be no. The concierge lounge & offerings are only for the use of guests paying to stay there. Even though all the members of your party are paying for GF CL, they're paying for two different, separate CLs. You'll most likely have to find other common areas to hang out together.

To be sure, you can email the IPO or ask the CMs when you arrive.

My understanding is that guests staying RPC (main building CL) can access SL (outer building CL), but not the other way around; however, I'm not 100% certain about that so I would contact IPO or ask when you arrive. As the pp said, even though the other family is paying for CL, it's a different level of concierge than the main building, so they wouldn't have access to the RPC lounge.

That is a really good question. When we stayed in the Sugarloaf building (outer concierge) our room key gave us access to the building itself (we had to use the card to get into the building). I wonder if you have to have a room in that building in order for the building to open for you.

Yes, the building has keyed access and you must be staying SL CL in order to enter. RPC in the main building is the same concept. To access RPC, you have to put your room key in the slot in the elevator in order for the elevator to access floors 3, 4, & 5, which are CL floors in the main building. If you don't have this access, the elevator will only go as far as the 2nd floor in the main building.

Wow, never having stayed at the GF CL, I never realized that it was set up as 2 different CLs. (You learn new stuff here all the time!)

I would definitely email the question to the GF IPO folks -- it seems like an easy thing for them to grant, and it would make your trip that much nicer. So while the official line may be the two Clubs are separate, perhaps they could grant an exception to your parties -- you never know until you ask, right? GL:)

I know that RPC has full access to the sugarloaf CL ... We stayed at the RPC and used our card to access SL just to check it out ... Not sure about the other way around. If you are all together and go to the RPC, I'm sure it'll be fine .... You only need one valid RPC key to acess the elevator to the CL lounge and they do not ask you for your room key once you are up there.

I have read the exact same thing that guests staying in Royal Palm can also access the lounge in Sugar Loaf if they feel like it.

Also besides the room categories being different for Royal Palm and Sugar Loaf, it's my understanding that both Club Level lounges serve the exact same foods and etc.

As others have said: they key you receive for the main building RPC will access the outer Sugar Loaf club, so that is allowed. However, the keys issued for the outer club will not have access to the main building club facilities.

Those in the main building RPC can visit Sugar Loaf but not vice versa. You would have to ask and receive special access.

If they say no I'd think it would be easy for you to just go downstairs and bring them upstairs. As far as I know that isn't breaking rules...we had guests one night in our room for dinner and brought them into the louge for sodas...We introduced them to a server in the lounge we had gotten friendly with and she said nothing other than have a great evening.
You'd be bringing paying guests so I don't see a problem, but I'm no expert so double check it.

To the OP since others have confirmed that Royal Palm guests are allowed to visit and use the lounge in Sugar Loaf, wouldn't the easiest thing to do is go into the Sugar Loaf lounge and meet your family members that are staying there? This way you can all hang out over there.

Now if you are thinking about wanting to bring those staying in Sugar Loaf into the Royal Palm lounge because it's bigger then I would ask one of their Club Level Cast Members working up there.

1) We are staying GF - Main Building, Deluxe King, Club level.
2) It is our understanding that any other (even Sugar Loaf Level) guests are not permitted.
3) But, we have had such guests enter the lounge previously.
4) You (very nicely and sweetly) ask the lounge CM on duty.
. . . the lounge CM has some discretion
. . . if the CM is in a good mood
. . . if the CM likes you
. . . if the lounge is not busy *

* Even a few other people could be too many. The CM must
keep the lounge pleasant for the paying guests. Usually, such
guests want some peace and quite. Thus, it is a judgment
call by the CM on duty.

Thanks all. If we can easily make it work (meaning not making a stink to get it to work), and hang out togther, then great. If not, oh well.

1) We stop by the lounge for some snacks and a drink.
2) It can be a nice place to hang out.
3) But, when vegging-out, we prefer to
. . . spend time in the lobby, just people watching
. . . sit in Mizner's Lounge drinking and listening to the orchestra

I also would just visit in the main building common area or outside Gaspy's. The SL lounge is not large and often all the tables are taken by Guests paying to stay at SL. I'm not sure how many people you want to bring to the Main Bldg. lounge but IMO it's not fair to the people paying to stay there unless it's a very uncrowded time. I know I wouldn't want to find I couldn't get a table because Guests from other areas, even SL, decided that they'd visit in the lounge I'd paid for.

I am not sure how many guests staying in Royal Palm do this since they have their own lounge. However because they can also have access to the Sugar Loaf lounge and the fact others claim that it's not big, if they decide to go over to Sugar Loaf and take up a table or two from those paying to stay there do you think that's not fair?

Now I am not debating the fact they allow Royal Palm guests in there, I am just wondering do you think it's an un fair rule based on the size of the Sugar Loaf lounge and etc?
