Which Breakfast should we add? The menus look soo good, I can't decide. Anyone ever had the breakfast here?
Grand Floridian Cafe
The Wave

I've had it at the Wave. The side of cheddar cheese grits with Nueske's bacon was one of the best things I've ever eaten. Add some over easy eggs and some toast or a biscuit and I'd be a happy camper. And they also have pressed pot coffee.

I love the Grand Floridian Café's breakfast. I think it's second only to Kouzzina. I didn't care for breakfast at the Wave, but I haven't been there since they added the buffet.

We ate at both for breakfast in June.

The GF Cafe is light and airy and open. It serves traditional breakfast fare. Does not serve toast with the omlette. (Sorry, this bugged me, lol.)
It is a nice pleasant atmosphere with good food and decent service. Nothing about the food wowed us, but it was an good overall experience.

The Wave is a neat restaurant. It's enclosed, darker, no windows but a nice atmosphere. Very quiet at breakfast, as it was not busy when we went.
The food here is of a more natural, organic nature. Many healthy items are served on the menu. The Mickey waffles are whole wheat, they have sweet pototato pancakes. The buffet has many options, many different from the standard breakfasts you would find at other Disney restaurants that serves breakfast. You can also order more traditional items a la carte off the menu. I agree that the cheese grits are awesome!
Service here was good for us.

They are both good for breakfast, it kind of depends what kind of experience you want out of it.

We love the GF cafe and eat breakfast there our last day every trip. The lobster eggs benedict is one of my wife's favorite moments in each trip.

I am considering giving this tradition up if they have Nueske's bacon at The Wave. It is what all pigs wish they could become. The only other place I've seen it near the World is at the Waldorf Astoria.

They are both very good, but have a much different vibe, pace to them. If your looking for a slower more laid back meal I would recommend the cafe. But then again you can't go wrong with the Wave...

I have eaten at both and breakfast was good but I prefer by far the more relaxed and pretty atmosphere of the Grand Floridian Cafe for breakfast over The Wave.
