GF-Booking Next Week. Book full week or stalk.

Hi.

Booking GF next week for a September stay, September 6-14. Hoping to book a standard or LV studio but have points for whatever we need, includng 1-2 bedroom.

We have always booked standard view since I request a certain area and always get monorail view, which I LOVE.

Looking tonight, I can probably book studio standard and WL and stalk 3-4 nights or possible book LV full week. Can you see anything special with LV or just trees and a lake? I have the points but Although I know its not guaranteed, I really love seeing the monorail pass when in our room since that is Disney to me.

I dont mind stalking, I have become quite good. What would you do?

I would stalk. I got a standard view studio Aug 22-24 at VGF - the 22nd is a MM members’ event at AK so even OKW studios are booked. Plus I know how much fun stalking is

We have stayed in both LV and Standard. I actually prefer the standard view. I love seeing the monorail too. I also found the LV to be noiser with the boats and the sun was blaring on our balcony, so it was really hard to sit out there in the mornings. We have two standard studios for NYE and I am excited! I would just stalk and waitlist the additional nights you need.

We’ve stayed in both LV and SV at VGF. If you have the points and want to spend them, we loved the LV. It was a great view to look at while eating breakfast. However, it is pricey. We’ve become much more stingy with our VGF points, so I don’t know that we’ll do a 2BR LV again, but we did love it. We found it quiet and relaxing and nothing like the noise at Poly with an unintentional LV room. That’s a story for another thread.

I am suppose to start on Wednesday, February 6 for September 6. If I see September 5-7 is open, I could book that correct and then the next day modify and take off September 5 and use those points toward another part of the reservation since I have to probably make at least two but probably three separate ressies. Sort of semi walking at seven months so I can get the beginning of the week I want. Those points would be this UY.
and have to borrow to complete the ressie. But that doesnt matter. Does this sound correct walking at 7 months if a day or two is open prior to my start date?

I would & did a couple of years ago when we only had our SSR contract and wanted a BCV studio during the first week of January. Let us know how you make out

Sorry, I cannot turn this around, I tried and saved it but it still comes out this way.

Anyway, what would you suggest, if anything I do. In the end, I want September 6-14.

The system is allowing me to WL the full September 4-7. Should I do that and check all day for September 4? Or, should I just WL September 4 right now and check all day and if available, go in and book September 4-7. If it doesn't pop up today, I would then have to hope for the best tomorrow that September 5 would be available. Given above, if it were to be available, I would only be able to book September 5-7 tomorrow, correct? I could not book September 8 then until February 8 and same for 9-10 and 12-13.

I would like to keep looking all day for September 4, should I just WL that now and modify all day and if available, go in and book September 4-7? Then I would have
to stalk September 8 and if available, modify September 4-17 to include 8-10, etc. Is this all correct?

What I am doing now is that I didn't officially go through and book the WL.
I am going through checking for September 4-7 and the RAT says continue to WL. I have an automatic
refresh going and if September 4 opens, those days will open to book and I'll just take it.
Then I will have to do the same for September 8 and I cannot book that until February 8, is that correct, even though
some of the days are available before/after.

Do you have a to the second clock open on your phone beside your computer? Click the second it opens. I wouldn’t mess with a waitlist for a day you don’t need. Good luck tomorrow!

I just think you're creating an extra day of angst with trying to book a day that's both unavailable and you aren't going to stay for. You're stay is already broken so it's not gaining you the entire stay. Personally I'd wait and forget about the 4th.

Thanks, yes, I was stalking with an automatic refresh browser today so it really wasn't any trouble for me today. If it opened, it opened and I could
begin booking the days I need but it hasn't opened, I'm getting ready to leave work, go to gym and then home, shower and eat and relax so not thinking
it will happen today. I hope the magic begins tomorrow LOL

No luck today. The days were there last night when I went to bed but at 7:50 am when I checked they were gone.
I am not sure I want to book LV, not because of the points, I really like and hope for a monorail view LOL
I am thinking I will just have to let the full week pass and then just grab days here and there for seven months, something I
REALLY didn't want to do again after obsessively end of December/beginning of January.

This is what was showing this morning before 8:00 am:


I could have went on at 8:00 am and booked LV from September 5-9 (I think September 10 was not available) and then got rid of September 5 by modifying tomorrow but I really didn't want LV and when I got into work and looked at 8:40 am, September 5 was gone. I could try to be on tomorrow and get September 6-14 (right now September 6 is available) but I really wanted Standard view. I'm thinking this is 7 months away and fairly confident I can piece together all the days eventually.

Madame, I am guessing you agree too? Anyone else want to chime in too please.
I am thinking I will have to wait for this full week to be over and then start piecing together my GF Studio Standard View for a stay September 6-14. GGGGRRRR, but thinking it is doable, do most agree?
