Recently watched a Disney vlogger who went to Geyser Point. He said that it will be changing to a “table service” spot in May sometime. He didn’t elaborate so I am curious about what this means. Does this mean that you will be able to reserve a table and maybe it will have an expanded menu? Hoping others may have heard something and have some additional info

I had lunch there yesterday and heard nothing about any change. It already is a table service restaurant though. I sat at the bar and observed people seated at the tables having their orders taken and food being delivered to them.

I find that to be a bit confusing because we’ve eaten there many times and table service has always been offered, although we sometimes have opted to sit at the bar for just drinks and apps. We love the ambience, but usually opt for lunch (generally pretty quiet), as dinner can be a very busy time.

I wonder if you'll still be able to mobile order and take out, so you can sit outside? Maybe they'll be discontinuing that, so that you can only do sit down in the restaurant.

We are heading there in late April / early May and plan to go there (staying at Boulder Ridge). I will ask and report back.

We ordered food there from quick service window in late January and just took it by the water to eat. Was so nice.

But technically, isn't it the pool bar? If so, how can they do ADRs?
I actually consider it more than a pool bar. It has a pool bar service window but unlike other pool bars it has an inside seating area. Unlike the Sand Bar at the CR, Courtyard Pool Bar, Beaches Pool Bar & Grill at GF, you see the pattern.

It's definitely more than a pool bar. Twice we added ourselves to the waitlist and got called when a table was ready. We had a three course dinner and it was fully table service once we were seated so it's almost like ADRs, just essentially last minute.

I hope this isn't true. One of the things we love about staying at the Wilderness Lodge is you don't have to make any plans ahead of time to have a lovely evening. If the parks are too crazy, and we decide to bail it's so nice to come back to the Lodge and know we can still find a great meal. We usually add ourselves to the GP walk up waitlist while enjoying drinks and maybe an app at Territory Lounge. It's our perfect way to end the day - and no ADR's or forward planning required.

I'm not familiar with that vlogger, though I've heard the name before. Is he someone deemed reliable?

The confusion is that Geyser Point is considered a Table Service credit on the Dining Plan, both for eat in and take out from the window.

Nothing about the operation has changed except the way it's charged on the plan.
