how long does it usually take to get your name and stop being guest #such and such?

it takes anytime from an hour to a week depending on your name

i forget how long it took my first name (emmios)
for my second name {that i never go on} it took the day a couple of hours. (emmios-too)
for my mom's she still didn't get hers

I think mine came up in about three visits, however the rest of my family took forever. They just all came up in the past two days, and they've been playing a little over a week.

I kind of doubt that -- each name has to be individually approved. I sometimes wonder whether they have a tiered process, because some names seem to get rejected quite quickly; others just take a long time to approve.
