Getting Water Bottles thru Security

When we went in the 50's, 60's, and 70's the only food we were allowed to bring into the parks was baby food. Then again DL wasn't open on Mondays either. I go back a long time.
Need to add that they also had picnic table outside the park with lockers so that you could bring food and have a place to eat.

I forgot about the baby food! Yep, that was ok to bring in! We never made the trek from upstate NY to California, so MK in WDW (that was ALL of WDW) was my first Disney experience.

We are at BWV in September. I was going thru pictures of the villas and thought I saw the freezer compartment in the studio fridges, so I’m happy to have that confirmed. Thanks! I know they didn’t have them at POP which kind of surprised me, renovated rooms and all.

When they did all the refurbs at all the resorts, as they removed old fridges they replaced them with the no freezer kind. My guess is, they are cheaper in electricity (even a micro cent added up = $$$), break down less, therefore are less labor intensive, and the cost per unit is less to begin with.

I’m sure you are right. The ones at POP were very nice to look at, loved the glass front, but I do miss the freezer.

When we don’t have the freezer we often put the cold bottles inside a cooler surrounded by a couple small bags of ice. It works for awhile, but the cubes melt much more quickly, and tends to leak through the cooler bag if not closed properly.

I should just go bagless and buy the water, but I can’t bring myself to do it. The thought of paying $3 for one water knowing I can buy more than 40 for less than 6 bucks at BJs keeps me from doing it!

I hear ya! I drink all day non stop and my drink of choice is water. I'm not crazy about the taste of Florida's tap water, but will suck it up, Buttercup, in order the have plenty of H2O!
Some folks bring in those little drink flavor enhancers, to make the water more palatable.
I, for one, hate to be encumbered, so carry little to nothing in the parks. I'm already paying a small fortune to go, so in the grand scheme of things, buying the occasional bottled water is ok by me. But I DO utilize the water fountains and the free CS water.

We get hydroflasks of wine though. Cause sometimes mom and dad get thirsty too..
