Getting Vero and OKW 7 months out?

Another one of those "how difficult is it to get..." questions. Sorry if this is redundent, but I'm trying to plan out some things for the next year and need to figure out the "what ifs".

We are waiting on a resale contract to come thru (again). We are hoping to stay at OKW for 4 days (studio or 1 BR) and Vero for 4 days (deluxe inn or 1 BR) during the last week in April 2005. We won't be able to book, assuming ALL goes well, until late September at best. What is your experience getting either of these resorts/rooms at this time?

Is your resale at either of these resorts? If so, you will not have to wait for the 7 month period for the use of your home resort points. Generally OKW is the easiest of the WDw DVC resorts to get at 7 months or less. Last week in April is not Easter week, but that is Magic season for points, which is the next to highest points/night at OKW. Don't know about Vero.

I've booked an OKW 1 bedroom for the first or second week of May the past 5 years at 7 months or less with no problem. The last 2 years I added a cash night for Friday and/or Saturday at 60 days.

I just booked OKW 2 weeks ago for our 9/2 vacation. (My points didn't open until 8/1).

When we stayed at Vero, it was also very easy to get a ressie, just a few months out.

I'm sure it depends on time of year, but you will probaby be fine.

We usually go to Vero the first week of May and have not had a problem reserving at 7 months. Since Easter is early next year I wouldn't think you would have a problem.

IMHO, you will not have a problem at either resort. The majority of spring breaks occur in March and as already mentioned, Easter is also in March next year.
