Getting VB for Memorial Day weekend at 7 months out.

I am thinking of booking the Disney Dream cruise next May 29th. I would love to stay at VB for 3 or 4 nights before the cruise. This will be our first visit to VB. How difficult will it be to get an OVIR for that weekend? Right now I am booked on the June 7th cruise but was thinking of changing it. Thanks for your help !!!!!

Definitely try at 7 months out, it's a busy weekend. I've spent a wonderful Memorial weekend at VB, and the weather was gorgeous! We do own there...I wasn't able to get DMom in, but she didn't tell me until 2 months out.

We booked Vero for this Memorial Day weekend less than 6 months out. Then we actually added a day less than 5 months out. We have two OVIR's.
There seemed to be plenty of availability at the time. It's our first time at Vero, can't wait to relax after a week at the World. Do they have anything special that weekend anyone know?

Thanks everyone !!!! I think that I might book it as a cash reservation at 11 months out and then try to switch it to use my points at 7 months out. I can't wait to try Vero Beach and the new Disney Dream
