Getting to WL for dinner

If we go from MK to WL to have dinner can we use the boat or is that for guests of WL only?

I think anyone can use the boat to go from MK to WL. We did last year for lunch at Whispering Canyon. We were staying at Poly. Are you staying at another WDW resort or offsite?

They don't check resort ID on the boats, so I feel safe in saying that no matter where you're staying, you'll be able to use the boat from MK to WL . I don't believe that you'd be denied boarding even if you're staying offsite, afterall you're going there for a meal. Enjoy your dinner there!

The boat is available for everyone not just guests of WL or VWL. On the way back to MK make sure you get on the same blue or green enclosed boats as there are smaller open sided boats that stop at the WL dock but do not go to MK.

I don't mean to hijack your thread, but I have a follow up question that I hope someone can answer.
A group of us will also be going to WL for ADR's @ WCC, then a Wishes cruise. Wishes is at 10:00 PM that night. MK is open till midnight. What time does the last boat FROM WL leave to go back to MK?
I'm just a little worried about return transportation as the evening I do this I'll be staying offsite, and moving to ASMu the next day. We'll have to catch some kind of transp back to the Gaylord Plams. (I'm the Disney expert ) and don't want to get us stuck with no way to get back to our hotel.

I am going say that you will need to take a bus back to the TTC instead of a boat to MK but I cannot be sure. Another option would be for you to park your car at the Pleasure Island parking and take a bus from WL to Pleasure Island. Otherwise you can take a taxie.

I don't know if they'll still do this, but when we did the Moonlight* cruise several years ago, we boarded the boats at the Polynesian but the Captains very kindly dropped us off at the Magic Kingdom afterwards.

If MK is open to midnight then I would expect the last boat to WL will be around 12:45 or maybe even 1am. Therefore the last boat from WL to MK would most likley be 15 minutes earlier than that or maybe 12:30 - 12:45.
